Who on earth makes these decisions and thinks he will have a performance worthy of a fa cup semi final, surely they would of took his ratings from all manner of sources before entrusting him with this level of responsibility, just shows the fa must really be struggling with officials numbers, this  guy wouldn't be fit to run the line for Wembley fc never mind  at wembley!

He was also the linesman on the Monday after he reffed us for City v Palace.

Missed a blatant handball and an offside, both of which went in Palace's favour.

The 4th official in the Bayern Munich v Porto champions league match tonight was a Mr Darren England. The same guy who has reffed us this season on a couple of occasions and was equally as bad as that Mr Brooks guy.

How the hell is he in the champions league?!

The only thing that eats my beef is were ex pros and pundits constantly go on about bad decisions yet its very easy to say sat on a cozy chair on MOTD or Football Focus.  It would be quite refreshing and to a degree an eye opener if ex pros went into refereeing.

Always though every YT in the country should have to take a ref's course and take charge of a few games, even local junior/youth level. I still find it unbelievable that 'experts' who have played pro football for 20 yrs in some case dont know the laws of the game they have taken a living from

"For me, he's last man so he's got to go!"

I particularly like the way the pundits fail to recognise that a player in an offside position can be interfering with play even if they don't touch the ball. Glenn Hoddle seems particularly fricking useless when he's doing punditry which is surprising when you consider this is a man who thought the soothing tones of Kenny G would help let England players down gently when told of their exclusion from the World Cup. He should just have got Eileen to tell them.

"He might have been stood directly in front of the keeper waving his arms around but, for me, he didn't touch to ball so that isn't offside. Is it?"
