Good to see Pitman and Palmer back together, sounded good while the shop was out on paternity, also good to see Chappel get a game, not sure i would have used Paddy. more value in getting Jolley/ Arnold some game time i feel.

Just stating the obvious but the most important thing today is no injuries and no sendings off, a win would be a bonus.

Jolley is injured. Not much point in selecting him on that basis.
I might have preferred to rest Magnay if we could - if we lose him to injury our defence is f**ked. I might have rested Palmer too and played Hannah.

To be fair it's the draws and defeats to teams like Telford, Alty, Dartford an Southport that have really done us in.

Calm down peeps, it's a nothing game.

its only nothing in relation to points, its not a nothing game for morale of the supporters who have seen this before...it screws all the good feeling and positivity the crowd had a couple of weeks ago...and as Hurst and the players keep saying the crowd play a massive part in how the team perform, the team feed off it....will be meagre pickings if we fail to beat a team down the bottom end of the table, with only three subs, one of which is a keeper and who hadnt scored for the four previous games.

We sound poor and you would of hoped that players would of been fighting for a place in the playoffs, I am really disappointed in todays performance i was expecting a lot more especiaslly after last weeks display.

Remember momentum is not important which for me is balderdash , surely going into big games with a winning mentality is better than the usual limp into the playoffs..

I'm sorry but its same old stuttering into the playoffs with wholesale changes.

Sound familiar?

Im not worried - why would you go in for 50/50s? would you do the technical foul that gets you booked etc. It's a nothing game and the players are mentally elsewhere.

My only question is why we've not just put out a complete reserve team - people like elis humble, paul walker, caine my really scrap in the game as it would be more important to them.

We are only going through the motions lads,

Hurst would have said two things before they went out on the pitch,

It does not matter about the result,

Do not get injured,

Do not get  sent off,

Oh that's 3. :B

If it finishes 2-2 which makes 3rd mathematically certain we really should put a complete reserve team out next week, with sub appearances for the first teamers who missed out today.

It's already started - under a thread called Bottled it I found this:

Season finished for us today.

We will be beaten in the playoffs - we won't even make it to Wembley.

Bottled it. Threw it away.

Book your summer holidays, our season is over.

To be honest though I'd have preferred Brizzle to have gone up as it would have shattered Barnet more having led the league pretty much all season. However the most financially productive Play off final would be us vs them
