...according to the crank on the Conference Twitter account -

So despite spending all year advertising both second leg fixtures as taking place on the Sunday, they've decided it'll probably move to Monday night.

Fantastic news for exiled or away fans, if it effects us, and yet another display of fantastic decision making from our Conference overlords.

Isnt that bank holiday?

The person in charge of the conference twitter account is an abrasive, incompetent tosser. When non-league administrators are slavishly following the demands of TV companies at the expense of supporters, what hope do we have?

Think it'll be BR's game that is moved so it doesn't clash with Bristol City's home game on the same day - should they finish in the play offs.

You just couldn't make this up.

Date established for months in advance.  Then a few weeks before they announce that one of the two fixtures MAY move a day.

Absolutely no consideration for the key stakeholder here, the supporters.  Further highlighted by the late time-change of Lincoln v Eastleigh this coming Saturday, just to accommodate BT Sport.

It just shows the lack of brains in operation at that level.

If, as mentioned, it is due to not being able to have the two Bristol teams playing on the same day, then why not just say that should Rovers end up in the playoffs their game would be moved. Rather than posting some cryptic horseshite that's of no use to anyone at all.

I'm down in Gy on that Monday, where I can't be on the Sunday because I help organise a music festival in my village over the May Bank Holiday. Realise it's pish for most folk, but if true, it's a case of every cloud having a silver lining for me.

According to the official conference site there is going to be a game on the Monday though it doesn't specify who will be taking part (2 v 5 or 3 v 4)

If it happens to involves our lads on the bank holiday afternoon, then May the 4th be with you!  ;)

Conference twitter account pretty much ruled it out it being us.

Is this based on the tweet saying one game may be moved?

I am sure they mean Bristol but why not simply say!

dates confirmed, but placed teams not assigned to each fixture.

"This will assist broadcasters and potential policing arrangements"

Yep, all four play-off spots and challenging positions occupied by teams within a stones throw of each other.

Just be honest and say it's purely for TV.

Dont think it has been confirmed but i think it is most likely to be Bristol Rovers IF they are in the play offs, as Bristol City are at home that Sunday.

I guess it could be us if Rovers go up as Champions??????

It says on there that away goals DO NOT COUNT,

So we should be ok,

Draw 1 -1 away,

Lose 3-2 at home

Away goals do not count so we go through 3-1 8)

2-1 I think Pete

According to my maths we lose 4-3 with you scores

Both wrong...it would be 2-1 to Town if only the home goals count  ;)

Just back to the op, is this Definately a Monday game?
Posted by: Tinymariner, April 17, 2015, 5:46pm; Reply: 32
Surely, for fairness to all teams, the teams playing on Wednesday should play the second leg on the Sunday, having 3 days rest between games, limiting injuries etc. otherwise the other two teams will have to play the two games with only a two day break in between.
