Let's hope Chester give it a good go & nick something. They'll be 8k+ in The Mem today, so could be tough..

Not the best preparation for Chester though - heard k/o might be delayed as they've been stuck in traffic.

Come on Chester. I would like a win but think that's unlikely. Would be good for us to stay second until Saturday of course.

I know a guy who's quite influential at Chester. I've had a word and he promised they'd win so nothing to worry about.

Listening on Mariners World, not got my lucky undies on though

Chester missed a sitter just before the goal
Posted by: springstomind, April 3, 2015, 3:20pm; Reply: 11
That open goal sounds outrageous! But Rovers Goal just came from a ball hitting the referee.. Unbelievably lucky for Rovers so far.
Posted by: Les Brechin, April 3, 2015, 3:21pm; Reply: 12
Apparently the ball hit the referee when Chester were in possession and Rovers scored from the break.

At least Chester created an open goal to miss.

We need Brizzle down to 10 men asap

On a different note, what the bloody hell has Ronnie Moore done to Hartlepool recently. A few weeks ago they seemed dead and buried but are now out of the bottom two and are winning again today.

25 yard worldy for Bristol Rovers.

Deflected :(
Posted by: cmackenzie4, April 3, 2015, 3:34pm; Reply: 19
One positive if Bristol do win it will give us a massive incentive to win tomorrow to get back in front of them and maybe Barnet.  We just got to carry on winning!

Lbh Chester are better at home than away.

Yer didn't mention the deflection on the radio, but again Lucky then haha.. Outrageous.

Just win tomorrow and go back to the top 2. Rovers need goals to make up their GD on us
Posted by: GtfcGarner, April 3, 2015, 3:40pm; Reply: 26
How far behind are Bristol with us on goal difference?
Posted by: The_Chief, April 3, 2015, 3:40pm; Reply: 27
Done and dusted.

Consistency and efficiency being shown by Rovers at the business end of the season.   Being ruthless in front of goal and not conceding many at the other end.

(secretly wishing of course, but not realistically believing, that I've given Rovers the kiss of death here and spark a massive Chester come back in the second half)

Nice of Chester to lie down for these and not us.
Posted by: Kymariner12, April 3, 2015, 3:41pm; Reply: 29
Hopefully they don't get many more, would like us to maintain our GD advantage over them
Posted by: TownSNAFU5, April 3, 2015, 3:42pm; Reply: 30
We need to win twice over Easter and improve our own GD by MORE than 2 goals.

So much for Chester giving them a game! All over before half time. Oh well....5 wins and they still can't catch us!  :)

They can on GD.

Highly unlikely then Mr. Pedantic
Posted by: LH, April 3, 2015, 3:52pm; Reply: 36
Bit more likely when they're 3-0 at half time and we've yet to play to get back level on points with them.
Posted by: The_Chief, April 3, 2015, 4:13pm; Reply: 37
They're packing them in at the Memorial Stadium/Ground today

8455 at Bristol Rovers v Chester.

5-1 Bristol Rovers.
Posted by: springstomind, April 3, 2015, 4:53pm; Reply: 47
flipping 5-1 now.. It's a conspiracy.
Posted by: immariner, April 3, 2015, 4:54pm; Reply: 48
Don't know how reliable BBC stats are, but, 4 shots on target for Brovers..

Sorry, 5. FS.
Posted by: springstomind, April 3, 2015, 4:54pm; Reply: 49
It's not all that matters if we win 1-0 and Rovers keep banging their Goal difference up.
Posted by: MeanwoodMariner, April 3, 2015, 4:56pm; Reply: 50
Half our GD advantage gone in 1 game. Disappointing but we'll just have to respond with a big result ourselves.
Posted by: cmackenzie4, April 3, 2015, 4:57pm; Reply: 51
We need a goal feast ourselves tomorrow,  I'd settle for 6.0  8)

I will settle for 1-0 with a 5 goal cushion of Bristol with 4 games to go.  8)

3 points will do mate! 8)

Lets just focus on our own game let Barnet do the worrying. :)
Posted by: sutton mariner, April 3, 2015, 5:21pm; Reply: 55
Win all our games and we'll be fine with GD I'd highly imagine. Adds 5 to our GD presuming they're wins by 1 goal.
Posted by: TownSNAFU5, April 3, 2015, 5:31pm; Reply: 56
Rovers have played an extra home game than us so comparisons with our game are a bit artificial. The first requirement is for us to get 3 points tomorrow.
