What's the email and password you mention near the start for? Do you have steam installed on your computer and are you logged into it?
Posted by: The_Laughing_Mariner, April 1, 2015, 6:35pm; Reply: 9
Yes.I.have steam installed but I can't seem to log on to it
It won't.recognise my login details

When I first installed the game it asked for my email address and a password

Maybe the laughing part of your name tag is not so relevant at the minute!

well I think you should work out why you can't log in to steam first. Once you're in steam you can most likely add the game (if you bought a dvd version it should have a cd-key) and then download it through steam.

It's downloaded onto the.pc. When I try to start it it up it gets halfway through the loading screen and hangs
When I try to log on to steam tech support I feed my email address and password and complete the character recognition thing then it says login details do not match

All I can think of is to run Windows update to make sure all your drivers are installed and up to date. Then uninstall FM15, reboot and re-install FM2015. Also, google the exact error message, you may find this has happened to thousands of people and the answer will be there.

Cheers.

Right, steam support has a separate login system to steam games client so that's probably why you cant log in to that. Have you used steam before to play games? You really should just load up the normal steam client and just add the cd-key and let steam install the game.

I ve done all that, I can get it to start loading, sega screen, kick out racism screen, war child etc etc, then it comes to FOOTBALL MANAGER 2015 with "loading" underneath, and "loading" scrolls through different languages, then it just hangs and locks up the PC

I think Windows updates regularly when we log off for the night

ok, so as you say, you've done all that, so you have FM 15 installed under steam....right, go into the steam client, and view your list of games and right click on fm 15

then click on "properties" from that list

then local files, and click on verify integrity of game cache

after you've done that, try playing fm 15 again

Well, i got to 100%, tried playing, got to the loading screen and it froze.  Apparently Ive played 88 minutes and even chosen my team yet!!!
I have XP and im sure i have the correct amount of memory, I just get halfway through loading and it all freezes and locks the computer, I have to pull the power lead out to restart,
I think i have an exceedingly old computer and is not capable of playing the game.
Thank you for all your help and patience

it should still be able to run. I'd recommend you now try asking on http://www.overclockers.co.uk forum. You'll find a lot more help there but you will have to register:

I'm no expert but I think you've hit the nail on the head, your computer must be to old  if it's running on steam.  All joking aside I wish you the best of luck my computer does my head in at times.

You need to have activated fm15 on steam. If you bought a dvd version, you will have a booklet or sheet of paper with a string of letters and numbers something like: sevt7-bbc07-vdso8-ddpo4

If you really do have steam installed on the computer then this cd-key will have had to have been entered:

This will now mean you have fm15 in "the cloud" and can install steam on any PC and log into your personal account and you will find every game you've ever activated on steam.

I hve logged into it and tried to load fm15 but i keep getting already running error so I have deleted appcache and restarted

I clicked on FM15 icon, it verified account and stopped,
Tried to open it through steam and get app already running

I delete appcache again, set it to restart
do I start the game via the FM15 icon or steam?

I guess you are not laughing much now mate,

So I will get you to try one more thing,

Steam is very outdated now,

So why don't you try using electricity,

My computer works on it.

sorry I hope you sort it out honest !!

I doubt your netbook has the minimum specs required to run the game, but anyway, it just sounds like you're doing things the wrong way around.

Install Steam
Log in to steam
Go to your Games Library within steam
Click on Football Manager 15
Choose to install FM 15
Wait whilst steam downloads the game
Then click play

Don't install from the disc (sounds silly but more hassle than it's worth), don't copy across files via your netowrk or usb or whatever, don't take short cuts. If you did install via steam, try the "validate local files". If your netbook doesn't meet the minimum specs, try again on your XP machine (if it does).

Unfortunately, I think you need more help than I can give.
