Errm who do we think will win it. Usually the winner leaves and signs for one of our rivals.

Magnay will win it, but at this stage, the full team deserve credit

Ollie has not played all the season,

BUT

Deserves a special mention or mini award,

We have 5 or 6 players who could win,

They all deserve an award if they get us out of this league,

Every single one of them.

Magnay has had it the bag since Xmas time hasn't he.  Be nice for the shop and disley to receive some sort of recognition too.

Magnay has been our best player but he's also been our most consistent player.

Pearson, Toto, Lenny, Clay and Disley have all had excellent seasons but have come no way near Magnay's levels of consistency.

For those of you who haven't seen this before, I've been running 'If Fantasy Football points applied to Grimsby Town players' on my blog. Here's the first edition, which explains how it works:

Whoever finishes top of the league will get my vote for Player of the Season. I write an update every month, with player tables, so you can see who's risen and fallen as the season's progressed:

Some of you might be surprised to see who made the early running, and who is currently top of the table.

And yes, I am a nerd.

I think Magnay has had this in the bag since about September.

May be he should have his own award and player of the year can be awarded to someone else?

If you want to have a fantasy league for Town, may I suggest that you use the Sun scoring system. I think that it is the most comprehensive one around. You could use the player ratings from the Telegraph.

I solute you for the time & effort you put into it. I think it would be very interesting thing to do.

In a normal season, for me Toto would win it just ahead of McKeown, Pearson, Disley and the Shop.

However, this season isn't normal....the abnormality being Carl Magnay: class, composure, commitment and consistency.

Since CM is bound to win....can we get the POTY voting done extra quickly (now) and present him with the award at the start of the
Gateshead match?

If he qualifies age wise, I think Craig Clay should win young player of the year award.

Our unsung hero Pearson for me. He does not get the credit he deserves due to the high standards he constantly maintains.
