Good finish from Lenny for the goal. Good save from Toto in the first half though he'd surely have scored if he'd headed the ball down as players are usually taught to do in that sort of a position.

From the reports I'd have thought we would have been more under the cosh near the end than the highlights seemed to show but I suppose you can be on the back foot without the opposition creating too many clear chances. The ball might have hit Robertson's arm after his clearing header on the line bounced off his leg, but I don't think there was any intent there. Would have been a harsh penalty but we'd no doubt have been screaming blue murder if it had happened at the other end!

Good finish by Lewis,  under pressure too, Dover looked poor and so did the pitch, now we move on to Welling. :)

Thanks for sharing. 6 mins of decent free highlights. My only niggle is the way, as always, the first minute is the players walking on the pitch!

Another example of better camera and overall highlights.  More confirmation why I dropped my world sub a while ago.

40 hours later and I still touch cloth watching that header.

I'm not quite sure how it didn't go in for them at the end.

It's rare that the radio commentary resembles the video highlights, after listening in on Tuesday it sounded really nervy at the end and after seeing it for myself I completely get why the commentators were flapping. What a scramble off the line by Robertson and the chance right at the death could easily have gone in. Good throughball and finish for the goal and Arnold's run where he created his own chance was good. Would have bitten off all fingernails had I been there. UTM

I watched the highlights on Mariners Player yesterday and the quality is good for me. Is this because I have a decent internet connection (50meg)?  I don't understand when people say that the MP highlights are poor.

Good finish?

People are a lot more generous with the praise when we're winning!

So why not show the build up to it, the pass from Arnold, the shot under the keeper, then the run up to finish it. I agree it was a decent finish from LJL. 8)

One thing that stood out for me was the succession of free kicks Dover had, from both wings, where they were able to launch it into our box. I think they amounted to about 60% of the highlights!

The run up to finish it?

Is this a wind up? Where's Beadle?

Surely the finish is when he actually errrr finishes it?

A couple of last minute skirmishes aside, Dover looked just awful.
But definitely the sort of game that would have had us pegged back by a last gasp goal in previous seasons.

No. Your just saying what  a tap in he had. Where as I thought the pass through, the initial shot and the continued run to tap it in all contributes to the goal. 8)

LJL's initial shot was well-placed so went through the keeper's legs and he was there to make sure it went over the line when following up.

He had a chance, he finished it well.

Bizarre that this concept should be any sort of an issue.

Just shows the fine line between success and failure be nice to have a few comfortable wins but as we all know Grimsby never do comfortable lol

Two words.

John and Tondeur.

Edit: Having now watched it- Robertson heads it onto his knee and it doesn't cross the line. Great defending. They really should have scored with that last one though - gee effing whizz!

It could have easily worked out differently, but I don't think we were lucky. We were easily the best side in the first half and they edged it in the second. They lacked quality (Reginald D Hunter was about their best player and his best contribution was to run about all over the pitch like there were scouts watching) and it's amazing that they managed to string together such a good run. Or does that say more about the quality of this division?

If their keeper hadn't have pulled off such a good save from Toto.....

Not a great game, but a great result, and I loved watching Town highlights in HD for once. What a difference that makes. If Dover can manage to give their fans this quality of highlights, why on earth can't much bigger teams do the same thing?
