I'm not a frequent poster,,but I'm looking to you all for a bit of support.

My husband is on the Trust board, and has a prosthetic leg. Some of you may have seen his tweets ....... Peglegmariner.

If we get promoted this year, he wants to get his leg painted black & white.

The idea is to raise awareness of complications of diabetes, which is what led to his amputation.

Does anyone know a local artist Or designer who might be able to design something spectacular, and maybe even someone who could paint on plastic when the time comes?

Wrawby Mariner is a great artist/designer, but he might be away at Uni at the moment?
Worth sending him a message anyway: http://www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?v-memberpanel/a-view/u-720/

If it's plastic it might be worth speaking to someone in a modelling club (Grimsby Wargames Club for example). They'd have good experience of painting on plastic and the technical issues involved.

Thanks everyone.

Wrawbz has come up with an excellent design, incorporating the badge and stripes. It looks fab!

The trust are also backing it with the hashtag #promotionpledge

Just need to do the deed now!!!

Same here, although the wife sometimes objects to the dressing up.
