I agree, then set up makeshift market stalls in the stand and then it'll be "Selling At Welling".

Sorry to be a kill-joy....

But I think these "themed" away days are becoming a bit tiresome. The reason why there was such fantastic support at Barnet was the sheer number of fans there! 1000, housed in a low covered stand making lots of noise and watching Town score 3 goals in a fantastic win against top of the table Barnet. Again great support at Woking yesterday 500+ don't think the wigs made that much difference?! But the sheer number of fans did

Unable to get to Chester but I'm there at Welling and possibly Dover bringing only my vocal support as I'm sure the rest of the fans will be

Proud time to be a mariner

Sorry to be brutally honest Sussex you are talking out your back side mate the fans and the players love it and if it help create a fever pitch atmosphere until the end of the season lets do it. The players have said they love the themed thing the only draw back is throwing the plastic dolls on the pitch. Why the feck shouldn't the fans enjoy the day as well  you are a kill joy get back in the main stand with your bag of Worthers. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I am just guessing here and it's only my opinion but I think the players reading between the lines, appreciate the sheer number of fans there following them and the noise they make and not an individual person wearing something on his head
If you NEED to take a wig or inflatable to enjoy your game, knock yourself out

Got to say I disagree, I do think the number of fans making lots of noise is certainly the main reason the players love it.  Yesterday for example I didn't bring a wig but don't think my contribution was any less appreciated.

However part of the reason that the fans are there in numbers on making a fair amount of noise is that there is a party atmosphere before the game even starts, and the reason the party atmosphere is there is that the fans are already up for it because of wigs, inflatables etc.  But certainly if you don't want to be involved I don't think it will make your support any less appreciated.  Just think contributing to party atmosphere all the way through till the end of the season will deffo help us so I will do my best to be up for it from now on.

Welling nickname is the Wings,

So if we take wings to Welling,

We can sell them to the Welling fans after the game. 8)

It'll look like a local villains funeral. People'll expect Grouty to turn up with a wreath.

Suits are for Alfreton peeps. Much easier to organise 1500 people in suits and dresses than hi-viz.
