Great set of results for us after a great away win. If this isn't a changing point in our belief that we are 'as good as the challengers' then god knows what is.....if we play well constantly we win the prize....just my opinion

No reason why we can't do this! Win our game in hand two points behind rovers!

Long way to go yet, great day but 5 points is still a big ask, if we are still in the hunt final day that will be a massive achievement. It makes every game huge now, Chester next week will be mental!

We've just got to carry on winning and hope teams around us drop points (just like today) another big test away at Chester next week, I would imagine we will take 600+ next week to act as the 12th Man.
We could be top of the table in April. 8)

The 2 b's are no better than us. It's been so long since grimsby have been at the top end we are all rightly negative but i honestly think we are the best out the three. Bristol have been strong of late but no team has ever gone straight Back up....fact. Barnet on free fall but we are if anything grinding results out and it takes a good team to beat the mariners now and that's if we don't beat ourselves of course

Didn't Lincoln go straight back up a few years ago?

We need to go unbeaten until the end of the season,
If we do that and only draw twice,
We will win it !!!!!!!

That's right mate I seem to recall Carlisle doing it, I'm sure Les will put us right when he gets back tonight. ;)

Lincoln did, under Big Keith.

Shrewsbury too. Think Lincoln did it in the 80s?

In a weird way I kind of hope both Bristol and Barnet win their fixtures next week. This would increase the gap to Eastleigh and Halifax preventing them from squeezing into the play offs with their games in hand. Prefer to put these out of the running if we can so we can first of all secure a play off place, then see where our results take us. Barnet, Bristol, Macclesfield, us and forest green will all lose points at some time between now and the end of the season, but if other clubs can take points off clubs on the play off fringes it has to benefit town. I will not even contemplate winning the league until a play off spot is guarenteed, then we can really go for it. It is going to be very nervy for all the top clubs these next few weeks. Looking forward to it immensely. UTM

Lets try and give the players our full support in these crucial games...nows not the time to get on the players or managements back if we lose.

Lincoln went straight back up but in those days a professional team that went down really was playing against poor sides... almost certain to return immediately... unlike now when there are so many strong ex league sides... I think the Gimps last day attendance of over 9,000 was a record for the conference... haven't a clue what the record is now...

The best result/Sat results of the season. Critical timing.
No good winning when all other top teams win.
We win the title if (say) we win all our games and Rovers win all theirs bar drawing just one. Also assuming that our goal difference and goals scored remain better.
This is not impossible, we have played most of the critical games. The bookie must still make Rovers favourities but we must be close behind. They lost at home whilst we have a winning momentum.

I said after last week's game that if we win nine of our last 10, the other teams will have to play very, very well in order to overhaul us. For weeks, we've been hanging on in there, waiting for the top two to start feeling the pressure. Perhaps that is now happening. Whatever the truth, though, we now have a genuine chance of winning this title.

I've noticed the biggest moaners are the ones who listen instead of attending

It's not how you start a race but how you finish it. Unfortunately we made the early part of the season difficult because of some indifferent performances. The 6 points lost over the Christmas/New Year period didn't help but I do believe that we can do it this season and possibly as Champions ,providing of course that some results go our way. UTM

Who wouldn't agree with that. btw: Didn't you write a few weeks back that you wanted Town to
lose a match - just to make some point against PH, the club, the universe in general?
Welcome back to the light side.

Don't think you needed to. It's a thread about people's reactions post Woking.

And my point is about moaners who only listen to other people's interpretation of the game and form an opinion based on that instead of getting down there and seeing for themselves.

We have struggled after Xmas for the last few seasons. Time for us to do the opposite this season and finish very strongly. A winning run (as we are on) breeds confidence and has its own momentum. Also frightens other top teams.

I get your point about moaning. But it was obvious what chaos was on about given the title of the thread. You don't need to be a mind reader. Just a word reader.

How tedious!
BE POSITIVE LADS!!
Especially at Blundell Park. Get down there, your club needs you to attend, financial support and vocal support is vital.

The home gate is the only way this club can get any meaningful income at BP. A new ground with other income streams will help relieve that dependency but until we get one then attending games is the only way the fans can help the club.
