on the bench....a sign of intent from Hurst or just an unbalanced squad??

We were told by Newport that Jolley is not effective in a two and that he is only effective wide in a front 3. Though naturally rusty, he's not shown any signs that Newport fans were wrong. With the available personnel you have to think that we should be 4-5-1/4-3-3 with Arnold and Jolley wide of LJL, with McLaughlin, Clay and Disley in the midfield. He doesn't rate McLaughlin at all, which is a shame because he showed at York and he showed in our 7-0 and 6-1 wins over Alfreton and Gateshead that he can be very effective in a midfield 3.

In Hurst we trust :/

You might trust in him mate. I'm sick to death of him, and the sooner we're shot the better.

I don't trust him. Too unadventurous, and too quick to criticise / drop certain players while his favourites are undroppable regardless of how poor their form and performances have been.

Pretty dire performance last time but remains unchanged..... on paper......he may decide to set up slightly different, 4-4-1-1 for instance but Hannah and Watson may be looking on again and thinking we both looked a little livelier than both the strikers last week..

I've corrected as my tone wasn't obvious enough. I've supported Hurst because I don't like to see teams change their managers constantly and he's done alright for the most part but the negativity of the tactics against Bristol Rovers last week and the inability or unwillingness to change it, coupled with his frustrating interview afterwards has swayed my feelings somewhat. I will continue to support him (I don't see the need for daggers) and I want him to succeed but at this moment in time I have doubts that we will even make the play-offs. I want him and the team to prove me wrong and at least a point today would be a good start towards doing that.

Edit: pleased to be proved a bit wrong today, important we beat a relegation fodder side at home on Tuesday now.

I don't think its fair to say that, I think you have to admit theres every chance we'll come home and draw 0-0 with telford now, thats just the side we've been this season, think we go through a cycle of every town fan looking silly at some point, whether your pro or anti hurst, because we can acheive great results, and throw away the games we should definately win

Agreed ,great result today . I wouldn't be at all surprised to be walking out of BP next week after watching us wrap a draw or worse .
