Big flakes currently falling in DN32.  At least this means it's not freezing.

Every year we have one of these threads and most years the game goes ahead. It's literally snowed for about half an hour this morning and it's due to stop soon with 4c expected at kick off time.

I agree mate and I hope the game goes ahead because you can bet loads will be called off before 3pm in our League and if Town can win advantage GY.

i cant recall many times in my lifetime a Town home game has been postponed due to the weather.

W havent had that much snow in the area and i had always presumed Town had covers for the pitch.

As LH said the snow is expected to stop soon. I am in Scunny and already the snow is turning to sleet. I fully expect the game to be fine.

It'll be fine, i reckon it will melt as quick as it falls down, not exactly cold out there is it

Pitch has been partly covered. No concerns there. Main problem is elf and safety. They are worried the snow will cover the dog turds around the ground and we won't be able to se them.

Fannies.

We are sons of Trawlermen and Vikings.  ;D

We seem to have a weather thread or two every season and very rarely does a match get called off. The only way this will get called off is if some lazy ar$e ref doesn't fancy freezing his nuts off, or the elfs put their oar in. Sat in my conservatory, the snow is falling but i can still see my lawn very clearly...................so far anyway.

Big flakes falling again here in Clee, but as soon as they stop, it will melt. Don't think there should be any problems, other than a pitch that will cut up quite a bit.

My Dad used to say similar when we were kids and complained we were cold. We only had a coal fire in them days and he'd say "if you think it's cold, you want to try fishing in a gale off the coast of Iceland in the winter".

Thank god he wouldn't let us go to sea and made us all get a trade.

Pitch looked ok about an hour ago when I got my ticket. Roads around Clee/GY are not great though. Game will be on.

Yep, now turned to rain, so unless the pitch gets waterlogged (highly unlikely) it's definitely game on.

Get yerselves wrapped up and down to BP.
