Does anyone know if any highlights were filmed last night. Normally they're on the OS by now.

Would love to see Paddy's goal as it sounded like a great strike.

How come Mariners World has shite resolution for highlights, yet Gatesheads is fairly good quality and its free!

Takes the urine!

Looked like it was played at friendly pace. Little tackling or closing down by either side in those highlights

Very disappointing to see the number of shots they had at McKeown who pretty much kept us in the game going by those highlights. That being said, I thought he should have done a lot better with their first two goals (especially the second!)

Also for the second goal was made by a centre half crossing to their other centre half who scored - embarrassing to concede a goal like that.

What was he thinking? He knew we wanted out of that cup ;)

This is because the codec FL Interactive Limited use to compress the videos when GTFC upload them rips any quality out of them.
Gateshead's are on YouTube which uses no compression.
The sooner the club get out this deal or FL change their video compression the better.

Great goal by Mackreth, my GOTS so far.

To be pedantic, YouTube actually uses pretty good compression.

Compressed does not necessarily mean poor quality, just reduction in file size.

I'd imagine that Mariners Player uses a less efficient codec with lower bandwidth/resolution than YouTube.

Paddy's goal was a great strike. Could maybe have added another - bit of a shame it was on his right and not left foot.

Sorry I thought I was on a football forum not a technical forum and did not realise I needed the exact facts.

I was just trying to make a point that the club may not be to blame for the poor quality.

1. Paddy, what a hit lad.

2. What an awful pitch for a side that try and play football to play on.

3. Wasn't much celebration after Mackreth's goal was there? I know 'accidental' goals ruled as such by a linesman aren't usually wildly celebrated, but you see Disley walking back to the halfway line with a look as if to say "cheers for that lino, I've got to run around for another fukin half an hour now."

I was expecting the old 'pointing to the name on the back of the shirt' from Paddy after his goal. Maybe in front of our dugout, although that may have been pushing it.

Not really his style. He's an unassuming fella. Besides, he didn't really need to add to the statement he'd just made in the best possible way.
Maybe he knows that it probably won't make any difference - he still won't be in the team on Saturday.

I wasn't one of the (probably slightly crazy) 53 Town fans there so have no idea how he played and contributed in the other 119 minutes, but maybe he's given Hurst a little reminder of what he CAN do.
I probably wouldn't put him back in on Saturday myself either, after Disley and Brown bossed the midfield against Barnet.
But maybe he's given Hurst a nudge and he might send him on earlier thinking he might influence a game now.
We shall see.

Yes it did look like that was about to happen.

I did notice he had a quick look towards the crowd. He probably saw a couple sat sharing a flask and an old man walking an old dog and noboby else within 50 yards so thought better of it.

Just watched the highlights for the first time. Good goal from Paddy, rubbish goalkeeping for our second and some shoddy defending all around for their goals.

A bit concerning how easily they got through our midfield on occasions there. I still think we are badly lacking pace in the middle of the park.

As BIGChris noted, it didn't exactly look as though we were ever really busting a gut to close them down and try and win the ball.
