Is it me or is anyone else thinking football players are a bit precious?
The reason I say this is because at the start of a season before a ball is even kicked in anger teams seem to decide who is going to win their league and everyone seems to accept the fact?
Its mainly based upon what money a teams got and who they've signed etc etc etc.
It puzzles me why they even bother walking onto the pitch sometimes,
Well look at it this way players of Grimsby town, we as a club can urine this league if only you had more self belief, we are in a great position to make an assault on the top spot so let's all give the other teams something to think about from us for a change! I truly believe we can go on and win the title if you the players want it bad enough as we the long suffering fans do.🐟🐟🐟

When I played and we were drawn against a higher league team,

Some of the players thought we would lose before we had kicked off,

I used to say, they have only 11 men like us,

AND

They can only play as good as we LET THEM,

We can beat them, its all in the mind.

Only local league Div 1 but when playing in the Lincs junior cup some of the lads were beaten before we started,

Had a great time with NALGO  before playing in the top division for Thrunscoe, Laceby and Humber United.

Yep that's what I'm talking about, a few years ago I can remember a champions league game between man utd and juventas in Turin ,man utd were 2.0 down and heading out when Roy Keane was walking around his team snarling at them and geeing them up,they went on to win 3.2 I recall, now I hate man utd as much as the next town fan but you've got to admire that kind of mental strength shown by Keane.
