This is an interesting one. Does he pick a team of fringe players and youths to give them a run out. Or play a proper team on the basis they won't have played for 3 weeks when we play FGR

Someone better start making suggestions, otherwise PH will not know who to pick.  ;D ;D ;D

If he sticks to his word in saying he's going for it then I wouldn't be surprised to see the majority of our starting 11. I'd be surprised if Bignot or Mclaughlin didn't play, purely because this is a good opportunity for game time and keeping the troops happy.

I see the Poll makes interesting viewing  34% think we should field a strong side , 40% think a weak side ................................. It seems some of us want us too win it

If Toto gets booked in this game, does that count towards his imminent suspension; ie does he miss two league games?
That affects my XI.

I think we will probably play
          Mckeown
Magnay Toto Pearson  Thomas
Mackreth Brown   Disley   Arnold
LJL  Pittman                           bench: Parslow Clay Neilson Hannah watson

I would play:
              McKeown
Walker Parslow/Doig Pearson Thomas
Mackreth Brown Clay Neilson
LJL Watson                                  bench; Bignot Paddy Disley Pittman Hannah

If we truly do have a strong squad as many have said, I'd play Bignot, McLaughlin, Hannah, Clay, Nielson, Watson - to get them all involved and fit. This isn't a league game and I'd treat it differently in terms of selection.

The Christmas and new year period always claims injuries and suspensions and you need all your squad sharp enough to step in prepared in the vital league games. In terms of the competition itself, I couldn't give a stuff about winning though really, whilst recognising that a good performance and result would be beneficial to confidence, morale and the mood of the supporters. A good performance is what we want.

I think Hurst will rest Toto, so he does not get booked and miss 2 xmas games

We play Boston on Tuesday so he might give one or two others a rest as well,

I would like to see Hamish in a real game and see what he can do.

Strongest team, if only to get them back into the swing of things for the next league game following our winter break.

I've seen Parslow once - away at Wrexham. Sure he played centre mid unless I'm going senile

As the defensive holding midfielder in a 3. I've not seen him but going off the consensus of knowledgeable posters he isn't a central midfielder.
