"I feel like it's a day that we've let Telford off the hook a little bit. We go a goal behind and get the equaliser in the second half, after that I didn't think we played quite well enough to create the chances."
No excrement Sherlock, but who's fault is that??

We have a poor record against the lower teams in the league, and if we want to win the league we have to beat the teams near the bottom but we have always struggled against them Telford, Nuneaton and Southport all took points of us.

Mackreth had had 50 odd minutes and by my reckoning (and I was there) his goal had as much chance of being a one-off event as it did of marking a lasting change in the team's fortunes.
Pittman was a big miss but when faced with the risk of a player breaking down again for more weeks off altogether who can say that Hurst made the wrong decision. Had Pittman continued and as a result suffered a recurrence of his injury there would have been a queue on here demanding to know why he wasn't subbed. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't...
It might be fairly obvious that I don't particularly rate Mackreth. For me if Hurst made a mistake then it was starting with him! (This mistake is somewhat mitigated by the poor performance of his replacement. Perhaps our squad isn't as strong as we think??)

I thought PH made the right changes at the right time, it just wasn't our day. Hard work today against a team who had won their last 3 games and have got points from Torquay and Barnet. Gutted not to win but on the whole rather have 1 point than none. UTM

I was and JPP looked the most likely to score and even though Makreth was woeful after he scored he looked his most dangerous, LJL was hopeless, Hannah did nothing when he came on and Nilesen was also poor.

Really not sure what was up with Scotty yesterday.. was quite optimistic when I saw him getting ready to come on, and thought he'd make some great chances but.. he was basically invisible and not up to his usual standard.

Well if that's true he could do with upping his game then. The loss of momentum wasn't just because Mackreth and Pittman went off but because their replacements didn't impose themselves on the game...
