Good start for the Cards. They only have 4 subs so they'll need to  get the first goal to win. I predict a draw, which would suit us.

Sole would make a great Mariner! The Fishy would have to sponsor his shirt.

Scorer was Sole...sounds a bit fishy to me.

Halifax don't look to the the relentless, physical battering ram of a team like last season. Woking look much the better and composed side.

Very poor wall for the free kick that led to the goal. Man in the wall should have stopped that!

Halifax look positively agricultural at the moment and are managing to make Woking look like Barca

Were Halifax just an organised bunch of cloggers last season with a really good striker?

I like the way Woking 'go for it' away from home. They really attack teams and get plentyof players forward

That's the second cracking free kick I have seen today,

My grandson scored one just like that this morning in the Suffolk Sunday league Cup Match. ;D 8)

Halifax certainly don't look the team they were last year. I said at the start of the season that either Gateshead or  Halifax would win the league and although it is still early days I don't think either of them will. Gateshead have the worst defence in the top 13 of the league and there recent form is poor ( 3 wins in there last 10).

Good win for Woking but have they got the squad for the long hard winter?

I noticed throughout the game that Woking maintained a very high line and never dropped deep when they went in front and at 3-0 they still held their line at about 5m in their own half, this is something we should be doing, instead of dropping deep once we take the lead.Surely this isn't that hard to address..

I agree, Hurst said we were defending too deep yesterday,

Well he is the manager, he was standing on the touch line,

Why did he not pass instructions to the players. ?

Big fan of Scott Rendell - he's a real talent in this league. Interesting to hear George Kerr say the same of Scott Nielson yesterday.
