Thank you Forza.  I knew you could be relied upon.

Still - if 80s does deliver on his burger insertion then there will be somebody around to finish them up after use.

Rumoured to have signed for Cork. Shame.

I think he'd score for fun in this league. Trouble is, we play a 4-3-3 most weeks and like Ross Hannah, I don't see how Danny could fit in. He won't naturally run the channels and track back when we don't have the ball and he isn't a focal point type who can hold the ball up and win headers at the top of the three.

If we played 4-4-2, I'd take him any day of the week.

I completely forgot we had Ross Hannah :(

Often thought about other countries whose leagues shut down for winter , getting their players here on loan to keep fit and play . As it stands we have a full contingent of players but should always be on the look out for someone better . I do feel we might loose one or two during the January transfer  .

Doesn't suit the system of our managers style or out of favour ?

Can't remember the last time a player of note left during January?

Reminder of what he can do with confidence !

Albeit against a lot lower opposition - strikers need to see the ball in the net - look how L J-L went on a quick run of goals !!!!

Personally, I'm doubtful. Middle of the season a fee would be needed and clubs know that in January you can hold a club to ransom because generally they're desperate. Whilst we have got some very good players and a few consistent performers, nobody is pulling trees up enough for a club to justify spending a fee on them.

This. And how many League 2/Conference teams have cash to spend anyway?

Tom's mentioned Bennett but that was a special circumstance - I can't see Peterborough coming in with half a million quid for Magnay, good as he's been! (although Darren, if you're reading, he's worth twice that  :))

Having done a bit of digging, Lewis Gobern had his contract terminated in January 2011 so technically he was the last to leave in January?  ;)

Did anyone ever find out what actually happened between him and Ridley or is it one of the unsolved mysteries, like who was James Lawson?

Hasn't Danny North trained with us before under Hurst to keep his fitness up? Can't see us signing him.

He's denied that he's signing for Cork but said on Twitter that he's heading to Ireland next week for a few days. He is currently out of contract. Also says he really enjoyed playing for us yesterday and said he really likes the lads currently playing for us

Who do you think might be bought from us Doc?

All I can see is another possible loan going out in the next couple of weeks.

I have it on EXCELLENT authority that he trains with us every year at this time to keep his fitness levels up.

Well , possibly not bought , but players who are on the bench who aren't getting a run out asking for a transfer .  Two names come to mind .  Money in this division is limited to FGR , Eastleigh and probably Bristol who have a suger daddy .
I don't like the football in this division  but we're just going to have to put up with it until the end of the season hopefully .
