Apparently we have turned down a request to switch the game to Wednesday

Don't see why we should accommodate them, we've had to deal with things like that all the time. If I recall correct at one stage last season we played: Friday, Monday, Saturday, Tuesday.

they are part-time though.

but why would we change to benefit our promotion challengers.

its the FA's fault, stuff them

Plus I've got time booked off work, so good on town for not changing the day

Agreed, they should have thought about this a lot earlier, we shouldn't have to accommodate them just to line their pockets,

I believe Halifax received extra money for moving there match to 14.00 on Sunday. So well done Town.

Town had put a lot of work into their Armistice Day for Tuesday 11th too. Not sure whether there is any truth in this request though

Due to stuff going on at half time and before the game already organised for Armistice day it was Impossible to move on short notice, Would they have moved it if it had been the other way round, I very much doubt it.

Can't blame them for asking (we would), can't blame us for refusing (they would).

I see that a few of the Yorkies aren't happy at our decision not to change the date.

"Hope we demolish them like we dud last season."

"Will make beating the fish botherers taste even sweeter"

"Just had a quick look on their forum-hope we smash the fishy fiddlers"

Not our fault, they should have arranged it before moving their game to Sunday, shouldn't just assume we would, idiots

You stick to your word Johnny Boy you know it'll only end up you moaning about Hurst and his failings. Best stay at home especially as since your exile we have done really well without your Jonah like presence

So, they expect us to alter all the arrangements made for The Armistice Day Tribute match to move the game back 24 hours, to give them the advantage in a crucial top of the table clash.

And here's me thinking that it's just the Irish who are supposed to be thick.  :)

*(Apologies to any of our Irish fishy friends)

What makes Halifax think we give a excrement if they played on Sunday?

Hmmmmm....pretty sure we moaned last season about someone not willing to shift a game date to suit our hectic schedule......pot kettle black, short memories, hypocritical or just ......well its different this time cos it's us looking for some kind of advantage?  ;)

Dear Grimsby Town, would you mind moving our game on Tuesday back 24 hours as we had a game on Sunday,

Our players are a bit tired and giving us an extra 24 hours rest would give us a better chance of beating you,

Dear Halifax, Of course we will move the game for your benefit,

Would you like us to play the game without our goalkeeper as well?

Anything to help.(bash)

Perhaps best you wait until the last day of the season when we are promoted as champions, you can then give us all something extra to cheer  when you do your lap of Honour around BP with that hotdog shoved up your Ar$e.

I see Halifax don't play at the weekend until Sunday so they have a longer rest before that game than Town do before they visit Altrincham ;)

I fully agree.
No-one forced them to do anything and they knew full well from the calendar what was in store.

I've just finished watching Halifax v Bradford myself.

Hurst says he has too (on MP) and although he's spot on they're a difficult team to play against, I'd be confident of his ability to spot a few weak areas we can maybe exploit.

Please come, we need all the support we can get !

Not sure if I can make it myself tbh.  :-/
But if I do, I may even "sod the view" from the Upper for this one and go into the Ponny giving it full blast.

I think you should go Johnny.
It'll be a tough game so who knows what will happen ("fine lines", "on the day" and all that)
But wouldn't be totally suprised if we ended up hammering them, especially if we got the early (or first) goal.

You love it and you know it ! ;)
