To think that they could have won 3-0 at Forest Green (when 3-0 up).

Placed on gardening leave, is there something more at play with this?

Surprised at this, they are doing well aren't they? Think they're above the drop zone.

They were talking about having a proper go this season and think playoffs was the expectation. Doesn't look likely at the moment.

Can we claim this dismissal? The way I see it is that in beating us it set their expectations too high.  ;D ;D ;D

Decent enough players that someone else might coach better IMO, no good leaving it till after Xmas before changing

Aye, Alan Power looks decent but I'm told he's very inconsistent, I'm surprised they got Kedwell too (Is he the ex AFC Wimbledon?). The rest are all shite cloggers though from what I can tell and their keeper is a clown. But they pay pennies, what do they expect?

Danny Kedwell is at Gillingham so not sure who you are referring Padge?

Strange one, "relieved of his current duties as manager" Placed on gardening leave, suggests there might be some disciplinary issue. Who knows, who cares.

As Oldun said, I was mistaking my Ledshams with my Kedwells!

Technicality whilst they sort out his compensation. Interesting putting Moyes in charge as he has quite a financial interest in the club and currently a Director but only managed Lincoln Moorlands so bit like town appointing Nigel Fanthorpe, without the cash!.

Good lad though but his popularity round here may dip when poor results continue. Otherwise they are naming pretty much the same list as appeared on the fishy a month ago, although Nicky Law getting some considerable backing.

I know they talked up in the local press etc that the expectation was play offs but did they actually believe it with the rabble they call a squad. I can think of at least 6 clubs that are better than lincoln.

They've clearly got discipline issues and although Dorrian has said they have a decent set of lads we all know that's a slight bending of the truth. Even with a manager with some tactical knowledge the players simply aren't footballers. Power is still there because nobody higher Ilin the league wants/wanted him, it can't simply be money. He is inconsistent as lincoln fans have pointed out and at Lincoln he looks decent but would he get in our side? No. Would he get in barnet or torquay's side? No.

Beating us was a good moment for them but will end up being their only highlight in another poor season. Some of their fans read too much in to it and saw it as their stepping stone in to the promotion chase, it has, as it turns out been a random result in lots of poor results and they never capitalised.

Rob Scott as their manager? Who knows but Dorrian has a track record to match our illustrious majority shareholder when it comes to picking managers so it could happen.

A mate at work seems there is some unrest in the camp and he thinks Moyes being a first team coach and director has stirred the pot somewhat....he goes on to say Moyes has already lined up jobs for his lads at the club I.e. training related jobs.

Lincoln have 4-5 players that I like

Tomlinson
Newton
Bencharif
Burrows
Power

Rob Scott, with his dark ages hoofball and raging aggression, would be the ideal person for Dirty Lincoln.

It's a risk, I don't rate Simpson at all but he had about enough to get them to mid table-ish. The wrong move now could see a typical Lincoln-like plummet and out of the conference.
Still, with the abyss staring at them what better to do than talk about....Grimsby http://www.lincoln.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=38411&posts=2

I'd take Newton in a heartbeat. And probably Bencherif.

While "disciplinary" issues may be a good reason he couldn't continue (I've no idea what led to him leaving), I find these antagonistic attitudes to a (relatively) successful ex manager somewhat baffling.

tbf that "dark ages hoofball" (WTF ?!) took us top under his watch.
Definitely better then previous seasons...
You seem to forget he wasn't the only one at the helm - is that a pop at Hurst too ?  :-/

I'm a fan of the passing game too but there's good reasons why many sides play "dark ages hoofball" in this league.
Careful what you wish for - who knows if we might not be doing the same many years into the future...

Really don't understand why fans dislike him so much.
All I really know for sure is many fans aren't that keen on Hurst either !
Personally I hope he gets the Lincoln job and guess he'd do pretty well in it too.

That ridiculous comment on their forum sums up some of their fans. They too have debt, and much the same as town it is money owed to Dorrian.

The poor things are showing signs of stress though big match tonight for them, should they lose and we win they could be suicidal

I wouldn't want to be taken too seriously, 80sGlory.  Maybe hoofball was a little unkind to Rob Scott, but his strong organisation and knowing how to get the best out of grafters would make him a good candidate for Lincoln at the moment.

Yep agree with that.
