I am sure i have seen him play before and if it is him he was a decent player for this level. Good news!

If it is Pell, he was a stand out player when he played here for Hereford, Town fans at the time were commenting on his performance.

Very tall, played in front of the back four, was outstanding for them.

Another cracking signing from Paul Hurst, he seems to have the knack.

From O.S

THE Mariners have signed AFC Wimbledon midfielder Harry Pell on an initial one-month loan deal.

Town boss Paul Hurst has been looking to bolster his squad after Scott Brown picked up an ankle ligament injury at Torquay and Danny Parslow's return to his parent club York City.

Pell had joined the Dons from Hereford United at the end of the January 2013 transfer window, going on to play 17 games that season, scoring two goals.

A youth player with Charlton Athletic from the age of seven, he rose through the ranks and signed pro forms in 2008, but failed to break into the first team. After spending time on loan at Hastings United, Harry was released by the Addicks and joined Bristol Rovers in 2010, moving to Hereford a year later after a loan spell at Edgar Street.

The tall midfielder was loaned to Cambridge United at the end of the 2012/13 season. Harry made 29 starts for the Dons last season, making another seven appearances as a substitute, and chipped in with four goals.

Harry is expected to make his Mariners' début against Dartford at the weekend, but he won't be able to play in our FA Cup tie against Oxford United.

So so. He was okay when he first came to us but quite frankly, he's lost it. Seemed to coincide with becoming a father.

Despite being about 7ft tall, he can't jump for a header.

Looked like a world-beater when he first signed for us but then went seriously off the boil. Needs to start a few games and if he gets anywhere near his early form, you'll want to keep him.

Conceived after his parents had a nice takeaway.  Or maybe behind one.

Even if he does not leave the ground he is still taller than Brown jumping as high as he could. ;D

He likes winners

A lot of his signings have gained promotion from this league before.

Is he ready to play? Has he been playing regularly this season? Or will he be spending a month getting match fit?

According to soccerbase he's featured in 6 games this season. I might be wrong but it looks like he started the season in the team, then got sent off (site doesnt load properly at work for me so cant say for certain).

Seen him once at Wimbledon (v Scunny last season) and he seemed to be one of the driving forces which saw the Dons come back from 2-0 down. Lad thinks he'll be a good signing for us.

Sounds like a good signing to me. Let's hope he's one who fulfils his potential at the club as opposed to one (of the many) who disappoints.

Nathan Arnold isn't turning out too badly !  :)

Out of interest does anyone know the answer to this question...

Who was the last Town player to sign permanently after an initial loan move ?....

I don't know, just interested to know.

Well according to that this season he has only made 5 league sub appearances and started once in the Paint Pot and got sent off. Hope he's better than that reads.

Dartford's team was quite big, ie most 6 footers, weren't they last season, so anther tall strong player who is protecting the back four should be an excellent asset!

Looks on paper at least to be a good grab, let's hope he has as much impact as Parslow did.

Does anyone else just keep a casual eye on previous loaness to see if they stay in their first teams or go back to being bench warmers ?

No he signed for Luton after the loan here and then resigned in the summer

I remember this lad playing against us he bossed the midfield, looked calm and assured. I was not surprised he got a deal at a league club, so  I think he could be an excellent signing.

What about Marshall? Didn't he sign a short term deal after his loan?
