I'd be very cautious with this. Have heard these kind of storied a few times and jumped on occasionally and it's usually ended badly!

I've just put my £34.85 Bet365 account on Lincoln and 4/11. Cheers for that.

Lincoln -1 handicap, 6/5, chelsea 3/10 at shrewsbury, Solihull 4/6 at Gloucester, just shy of 5/1, don't mind if I do. I need to make a few quid after van persie cost me £180 at the weekend, fuming!!!

They've signed a Scunts keeper and he's been told he can play in the cup

One tip - do the exact opposite of what the market is doing (the same principle applies to the stock market) if you  want to make money.

Betfair Sportsbook offering 5/6 for Lincoln/Lincoln HT/FT

Guess that's as good as you'll get now !  :)
Snapped up the little remaining 2.42 on the exchange but still wondering if it's dodgy at 5/6 if Alfreton defend from the off.
However the fact Rodley has expressed caution makes me think sods law, it'll probably win this time...  ;D
Regardless of selection, don't like lumping on at short odds.

I think there's been a few of these things pop up on here (I remember a Crewe v Donny one) and I don't think any have ever gone to plan!

That said, surely a team with no keeper should be getting beat at both ht and ft more than 55% of the time.

You'd have thought so, It happened regularly when Nick Colgan was here ! ;)

You're probably right 80's. I haven't got on it so it might come in. However, I might panic and lump on last minute in which case you're all doomed!

I can certainly relate to that "If I fell in a barrel of mammaries I'd come out sucking my thumb" feeling...

I can cash out my bet for more than I put on before a ball is even kicked in this game, seems they are worried
Posted by: GrimRob, October 28, 2014, 1:33pm; Reply: 19
I have backed Alfreton at odds of 13.5  :)

Thats because the odds on a Lincoln win have dropped from 4/11 to 1/7

I know Alfy can't sign a keeper, but do they not have a youth team? Surely an actual goalkeeper (even if he's 16) is a better option than Andi Thanoj (or whoever) in nets?

Won't be Thanoj, he has a broken Ankle

They wouldn't be able to field a player who was not registered to play in the original tie. Doubt the youth team keeper (if they have one) would have been registered. In hindsight that's exactly what they should have done.

No idea what the process is re registering (when it's an existing player), but I hope PH has Bastock registered!

Anthony Howell is the chosen one in goal

Anthony Howell (born 27 June 1971[1] in the Lake District) is an English actor, best known for his starring role as Sgt. Paul Milner in the British TV series Foyle's War.

I'd be surprised if Lincoln didn't score at least 3.

Easiest £83.33* I've ever earnt! Cheers Betfair.

Although I did get nervy at the start of the 2nd half so I laid Lincoln for £100 at 1.03, just to be on the safe side.

*£80.33
