The headline is "Happy Shopper" John-Lewis stocks up with 2 as Grimsby win again at Torquay"
This is in the main headline in the Non-League paper (NLP). There is also a very large and impressive action picture of Shop on the front page kicking the ball. All good PR for the team and acknowledgement of recent progress and performances - away from home.
In the report (on page 14) it says "Grimsby's towering centre-forward gave the home side a lesson in clinical finishing with the opening goal on 38 mins". (This comment is surely a collectors item).
Other NLP comments: "Before John-Lewis took the limelight". "John-Lewis exacted the ultimate punishment for (Torquay's) wasteful finishing with a sublime volley into the bottom corner" "Torquay simply could not handle John-Lewis, who made a darting run.....
Macca was also credited with making 3 marvelous saves from Young, Macdonald, and Bowman in the opening minutes. This kept the game alive.

Really happy for the big man. Like many I appreciate his qualities but have doubted his ability in front of goal. If he keeps his current goals to game ratio going then he will have had a superb season.
