OS says that it'll be ironic for Pittman to return against Torquay at the weekend. ive been busy recently, can someone explain why this is ironic?

Presumably because he got injured against them and whoever updates the OS doesn't understand the different between irony and coincidence.

Did you read that Ellis Humble was back from his loan at Clee Town?

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's John Paul Pittman getting injured against Torquay but then subsequently returning from said injury in the corresponding fixture at Plainmoor
Who would've thought... it figures
