HISTORY on @talkSPORT at 10.30am this morning. Two fans will do the draw for the #FACUP for the first time ever. Good luck to all the teams.

Exciting stuff. Hope it's away whoever we get.

Assistant manager as well. He has been very good for them. Runs the show from centre mid. Found his level etc...

They tend to bottle the playoffs quite regularly. Last four seasons or something daft. One of the best teams in that league though.

They lost Walshaw (centre forward) over the summer who was arguably their best player.

Congratulations on your non-league geek of the week award.

Livosnose will be delighted that "Der Bosh" will be back at BP.

We have nothing to fear from them just work hard and do your job and we will get the right result,

That's what I hope Paul will say to our lads.

Thanks. The hard work has finally paid off. Do I get a badge or anything?

I have to keep up to date with AFC Guiseley as my boss supports them. Playing the long game...

I don't even like football really. I only come on here to get GTFC updates so I can impress my brother and cousin.

I was there for his sending off in the 4-0 defeat away at port vale that time, glad to see the back of him!

Boshell's last appearance at BP was a humiliating home defeat to 6th tier opposition. Hopefully not an omen.

They also have Andy Cook's old partner in crime Adam Boyes.

It will be tough. SouthportAltrincham Guiseley are a hard side to beat and this will be their cup final. We have to be ready to match them for graft and effort and hope that in the 89th minute our class tells with an equaliser. But in any case a draw will not be the end of the world as our defensive form away from home is very good and we might get a penalty..

It's working. I'm impressed.

Boshell's best moment in a black & white shirt was his brilliant goal to win away at The Bastardfranchise Scum.

His best moment in a black and white shirt was when he took it off for the last time.

I would suggest that the Fishy will go into meltdown if we don't beat them at home.

Doesn't Ciaran Toner play for them as well? I saw them play twice a few seasons ago in the league and then the following season in the play-offs v Boston United. Scott and Hursts' last season there. That was the beginning of their rise. They played Boston off the park the first time round with ten men and the following season beat Boston on penalties in an enthralling play-off match. Their number 9 scored a screamer from the edge of the box at the York Street end. On that basis, and how they've done since then, we're in for a tough match.

I saw them play Telford in a Play-Off game a few seasons ago: still to this day do not know how Telford beat them. Played Telford off the park with their passing and movement but somehow got bulldozed aside by a really awful footballing team.

Should be a good game against them and it will not be a walk over.

That must have been the final of the play-off I went to v Boston. The final was 4,000 or so there? Cracking atmosphere and game if I remember rightly. There was over 2,000 at Boston for the semi. Brilliant gates.

Not a bad tie but will be a difficult game. Hopefully we can progress and get an 'easy' tie in the first and second rounds.

Not a draw that I would have wished for, but it definitely could have been worse, with home advantage we are quite rightly favourites to progress but it is all on the day as they say, am just pleased with a home draw and a realistic chance of making the first round proper. UTM

Living in Leeds I've often gone to see Guiseley play - and they're a decent team. As a few others have said already, they're a strong side.

A few years ago they had Jamie Clarke at right back and both Boshell and Toner in midfield. They played great football - kept it on the ground and opened teams up almost Buckley-esque.

True, they've bottled it in the play-offs a few times. It was Telford a few years ago and last season it was at Altrincham.

They got Adam Boyes on loan from Gateshead last season and he scored something like 15 goals in the last half of the season for them. He signed permanently in the summer and has already won a Player of the Month award this season.

Mark Bower, their manager, used to play centre back for Bradford. In a game against Town at BP, he had to go in goal after their keeper got injured. Think we drew 1-1 that evening and Shaleum Logan scored for us (he's at Aberdeen now).

And Guiseley haven't lost an away game yet this season. They'll be more of a match for us than some of the lower league Conference sides (which, actually, means we should beat them!).

Important thing is players realise it's the FA Cup here and leave no stone unturned.
We ARE the better team, let's not be frightened to get on the front foot and quickly scoring.
Posted by: indianwells, October 14, 2014, 10:16am; Reply: 43
They will certainly not be a walkover. Confidence is high at Guiseley right now. Turnover quadrupled in 3 years and new stadium plans submitted. Someone's doing something right.

Got to play a full strength side for this one, they are no mugs and can score goals, let's keep confidence high and attack them and let's reach the first round proper again as we all saw what a buzz it gave the club and us fans last year with the games against Scunthorpe and Huddersfield. More if the same please town. Onwards and upwards UTM

Its not a match I would bet on us to win at bet365's price of 4/9.

And unless I've missed it on the OS, it would have been nice for them to mention on there the ticket price, when tickets go on sale (not that its going to be half full) and confermation on which stands where open!

It's definitely "kids for a quid" but I'm pretty sure that as they're also promoting the "early bird" discount, that it's going to be the usual full match day price for adults
