That was funny and the welsh wonder why they get ridiculed  ;D

Very soft pen but hey ho! You win some and lose some. That Wrexham fan was priceless.

Thanks les.

Soft? Looks a definite penalty to me

That's the same silly sod who filmed the incident last season when Wrexham scored and the ball went through the net, only for the female ref not to see it or give a goal.

Does he just film games on his phone and commentate all the time? Wouldn't want to sit near him.

He ran through the back of him and didn't get near the ball? Don't see how they could complain about it.

Looked nailed on from the town end, would look at the official highlights before saying it's soft, he had two go's at Aswad

Imagine buying a season ticket and ending up next to that fruitloop.

Football fans really can be the strangest sort of folk.

Soft if it's given against. Definitely if given for. Let's be honest.

He was an absolute clown. I hate to sit near him.

I knew I'd seen him and heard his voice before but couldn't think where. Thanks for that, now I know.

What an irritating plonker! I'd hate to be near him.

From that angle it looks like it could easily have not been given. Town fans on the side and in line so may have had a better angle. Just goes to show it's all about your literal point of view.

That reverse pass to Aswad though... deserved a penalty, goal and promotion all in one! Who played it?  ;D
Posted by: Meza, October 12, 2014, 9:32am; Reply: 15
Wes York said Aswad hit the brakes and Carrington clattered into him there interviews including Wilkins just more or less say they deserved nothing and they didn't turn up.

It wasn't a leg breaker of a challenge but it was definitely enough for a foul and a penalty. Ref had the best view in the ground and had absolutely no hesitation.

Deffo penalty,  the ref had to give it - that keeper really made a name for himself!  ;D  Brilliant footage by the way, Thanks Les.

Enjoyed that, thanks. If that happened anywhere on the pitch it is a free kick for a clumsy push from behind with Aswad in the clear. Has to be a pen

Was Moult a deliberate stamp? Their players saying he w
ent to move his foot and caught disley.  Then their manager says Moult hasn't come to him to say he didn't do it so it implies he did stamp on Disley. Did anyone see it?

Great footage and thanks for posting. Looked a penalty to me but can see why it would be contentious. Not a great deal of contact, but clumsy nonetheless. Brilliantly converted by LJL. I think Tommy has written some great stuff on LJL and finishing on another thread.

Oh, and I enjoyed the 'sheep' edit for the replay of the foul at the end . :-)

As clear a red as you will ever see. As he did it I said red and Wrexham fans around me felt so too. Definite stamp in a cowardly way as Disley was on the ground.

Howard Webb was there ( Man U didn't have a game) and he told us he too said red immediately although he claimed he used stronger language! Stupid thing to do as they were putting us under pressure at the time and that gave us a release valve

Fantastic penalty from LJL in front of the home fans, just makes you wonder why he
hurries things in open play, if only he could show that sort of composure  more often
he would be a hell of a player in this league.

Just saw the Mariners Player highlights. Clear penalty. Player trying to catch up fell clumsily into Thomas. Would have been a foul anywhere else on the pitch!
The red card was a nasty foul. The ball was nowhere near and I guess he thought the ref might miss his stamp! Thankfully he didn't! Looked like the ref got his main decisions all right, including Mckeown's booking. At first I thought Macca was fouled but he actually dropped the ball before the impact!
Good refereeing for once!

On that note some town fans held up one of those sheep shaped rucksacks and sang "We've got your girlfriend" to the Wrexham fans
