Surprised Clay even made the bench..a sickness bug really takes it out of you...hasn't Nielson been struggling last few weeks with a slight injury from the Lincoln game??
Posted by: northbankmariner, October 4, 2014, 2:48pm; Reply: 5
Can assume that clay not fully recovered, and neilson not 100% either otherwise both would surely have strayed. Ok maybe not on paper our strongest but certainly a team more than capable of a win. UTM

There will be a "reason", there always is. Just like there was one for leaving Oates on the bench last time.

Shall we take a few moments to pray for a flood? ;)

Completely disagree, especially with Neilson. He's our most creative attacking player! If he can only manage 20 mins then so be it.

Mixture of scores coming in Barnet Winning :-( but Halifax, Gateshead and Eastleigh all losing - and Lincoln :-)

It may help our cause if Hurst signed a player with good set piece delivery, even if he didn't do much else. The amount of set pieces we waste is criminal.

I realise is only H/T and should not pass judgement yet but it sounds as though we are garbage again. Performances are not improving and we are consistently failing to break down teams at the wrong end of the table. A promotion winning side would dispatch teams like Dartford, Southport, Dover etc with relative ease. Please Fenty make a change ASAP.
Now I've said that we will probably win, but it still would not hide the fact we are poor

Because Hurst has done the same thing to every striker he's brought here on loan.
Plays them once , the striker scores then he leaves him rotting on the bench for the rest of his loan.

You should write scripts for the manager's interviews. ;)

Excellent point at mighty, big spending Dartford with that massive home support roaring on their plethora of expensive signings.

We should be praising our gallant lads to the heavens for their valiant efforts in getting a whole point in this lion's den and their leader General Hurst should be awarded the freedom of the borough for his side's imaginative and blood stirring football.

Just wondering how John Fenty feels watching Town play excrement week after week when he has the power to actually do something about it? I really REALLY would like to know what he thinks! John?

As said, not good enough, i have supported hurst but now i think time for change.  The thing i'll take from this game is at 1-0 down, i never thought we'd get back in it, and after we equalised i never thought we'd win it :(

I find it rather ironic that LJL has repaid Hurst's faith in him by keeping Hurst in a job tonight.

Hurst out . That was pathetic . Only saved by a lucky pen that LJL was fouled after he put easy chance wide . Hurst out .

How long has Tondeur waited to say THAT? Toto holds the line!  :)  Note to younger element. :- Toto had massive hit with, you guessed it, Hold the line!

extra note to younger audience: Toto was the name of an American soft rock band popular with middle aged women in 1978.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hold_the_Line

It is also the name of a sanitary ware manufacturer. http://gb.toto.com/
so, if you wanted to say he was crap tonight, you could also make a joke about it.

I find our current season very similar to our first season in the Conference! Always 'a few points from the play offs' but never looking like getting there due to inconsistent form! Fenty waited too long to sack Woods in that season. He shouldn't make the same mistake twice!

This lot are utter garbage. In just under 50 yrs of supporting Town I have never known so much dross in black & white. Clueless management and board.

You can't say such things like that on here otherwise you will get Barralad and his friends red crossing you.

The only positive I can take from this game is Lenny stepping up for the penalty and taking it well knowing he was under pressure,I was pleased Hannah had been subbed otherwise he would most likely have taken it and after his poor penalty last Saturday I'm sure it would have played on his mind,I think all the teams in our division will now know that Ross always bangs it straight down the middle. The game sounded terrible on radio Hullberside but will make judgement from the just back posters later.I don't think Tuesday nights game is going to be such a walkover as we were all expecting, they had a good win at Halifax today.  UTM.

To be fair about your comment on Hannah's penalty last week, I'd say it was more a good save as opposed to a 'poor penalty'.

A good save? The keeper barely had to move, a Subbuteo player would've saved it!

Hurst being a helmet on Humberside now. Seems angry about Tondeur questioning his terrible team selection.

For the record Paul, Disley and McLaughlin were both awful today and Neilson was our stand out player after you finally brought him on.

Just listening to Paul Hurst and he just about loses it with JT just because he questioned the team selection, obviously realises his job is hanging by a thread.

final straw for me!!! Dont really comment much on here but Hurst has to go, it looks like hes lost the dressing room and hes losing the fans in droves. we are falling further and further behind the titles all but gone already and if we dont act soon so will the play offs!!!

How can you verify that statement

Steve Burr, he's sort of manager i would like, but as long as PH is still here I'm not getting fully involved to he's gone.

Plus with Steve Burr his teams play the right way and don't give in for 90 mins.

No tah. 1 good season at Kidderminster in which he went on that really good run from November till April. Other than that he has done much.

I don't think it's a matter of our team not playing for the full 90 mins,It's more we don't play well for most of the 90 mins.I lost count the amount of times JT said "thats another poor ball",what the hell do we do in training,Hannah's freekicks in so called dangerous positions have been woeful, for christs sake let someone else take them,It shouldn't be that hard for a professional footballer to make the keeper work from 20 yds out.The one he took on Tuesday night at the death was terrible.Let Brown take them,he usually has a job to clear the first man when he takes corners so at least he shouldn't be able to bang free kicks high into the stratosphere.

That was a good run he went on after losing his striker to Fleetwood, and just lost out on the title, and lost to a Wrexham team that beat us at Wembley, not a bad run November to April can't see this team doing that.

I can't think of many managers out there i know Gary Brabin would be interested he's put app forms before.
