On the sky sports app is shows that McDonald is upfront for southport, is that right?

Brodies taking stick every time he touches the ball.

Injured according to John Tondeur.

Barnet winning. Akinde again. 81% possession, away from home. Going to take some stopping them winning the title if they carry on at this rate.

Town playing ok but just no end product, impressed with Clay though.

Have to admit, they are looking strong right now and deserve to be top.

1-1 in the Barnet game now. Be lovely to pick up a couple of points on them.

We've now reached the stage of the game where you're thinking..."come on Paul, change it". The shape. A substitute. Something. We need to raise the tempo by the sounds of it. Create some chances.

I don't understand why, in those situations, Macca always steams up there and gets involved too. No matter how far up the pitch it is, he's always in there! I guess it shows he's passionate for the team, but it's not good :(
Posted by: chaos33, September 30, 2014, 9:11pm; Reply: 29
Easy from here, but I'd go 4-3-1-2 now and bring Paddy on for Mackreth and Oates on for either of the two strikers. Southport need something else to think about. To be stretched.
Posted by: chaos33, September 30, 2014, 9:13pm; Reply: 30
Looks like Disley and Oates coming on for LJL and Clay. I'm not being funny, but if you want to up the tempo, do you bring on Disley, or McLaughlin?

Sums up why we'll be in this league for another year . Still not good enough .
Posted by: RoboCod, September 30, 2014, 9:30pm; Reply: 41
We just don't sound remotely dangerous. Towns old problem, letting in scrappy goals from corners, just like the goal that beat us at Lincoln, and yet we don't seem capable of scoring simple knock-ins from such scrappy situations.

Full time, a 1-0 home loss to Southport.

Same old problems, terribly inconsistent. Tick, tock, tick, tock.

Lets start smelling the coffee, Hurst is out of his depth on his own.

You'd have thought that having (allegedly) signed Southport's best players, that Town would be able to beat them. I know - football's not like that.

Who's next?

Terrible result. The wheels don't just fall off these days, the whole thing becomes a car crash for the poor fans; losing to a team without an away win for a year, losing to a Brodie goal, losing to 20 away fans. And all deserved because once again we play like a bunch of disinterested strangers.

Posted by: MeanwoodMariner, September 30, 2014, 9:42pm; Reply: 46
Sounded absolutely flipping awful, and was compounded by the barely contained joy that Alan Buckley has every time we struggle.
Posted by: ginnywings, September 30, 2014, 9:44pm; Reply: 47
Lincoln end a losing streak by beating us. Southport end a losing streak in which they have not scored a goal by beating us.

Didn't go tonight and glad i decided to stay home.

This. It's already a poor home record, and 3 times this has happened at BP already this season against defensively set-up teams. We've learned nothing. We never seemed to get going. I'm seething. It's not good enough. It's f@cking sh1t.
