Tis true - they could have supported one of the many non-league or lower league clubs 'in and around' Manchester - Droylesden, Hyde, Bury, Oldham, Stockport County, Altrincham etc etc etc. Or even the non-league club where they actually come from - Great Yarmouth Town, Merthyr Tydfyll, Worksop Paramore....
In fact, that 'Swampy' off the non-league show just about sums up their righteous fans. Never heard of the Northern Premier League until their club were in it and now they are total experts and advocates of non-league.
