Not sure if posted anywhere else, but this was the news this afternoon from Dave Moore via Mariners World.

Lenell John-Lewis = Jarred ankle - wont be available for Halifax, no scan needed etc, hopeful come Saturday.

Nathan Arnold = Making progress, gym, doing laps of pitch, dribbling, strength work, should be in full training by end of the week.

Jon-Paul Pittman = Hamstring strain - mininum few weeks.  Ultra sound scan later in week to find out length of time out.

Aswad Thomas = Had another x-ray on fractured fibula, good healing taking place, jogging last week on trampette, this week jogging on pitch, next week into some running, few weeks more yet.

Deflating and worrying
I'd take two draws next two games, but fear the worst

If we don't get another striker in (surely too late for Halifax game) what the hell formation will we go with??

Surely have to go 4-3-3-
Paddy, Brown, Clay
Neillson, Hannah, Mackreth

God knows??

4-5-1 with Nielson floating role.  Paddy left Mackreth right. Brown & Clay(if fit) centre. Bench Doig Disley Winfarrow Walker Benrose

That should really have been on Saturday, when he came on with over an hour to go!

True! but tnis game is different in that he has been given the burden to shoulder from the first minute, will he hide or become tonight`s hero, over to you Mr H

dont think he is up to being any good up there on his own, not his game at all. he needs to have a target man with him  to feed off

Hannah can not play up front by himself, he is not that sort of player. He likes to play off a target man, can't remember the last time he won a header, or held a ball up?

You think I am joking when I say Doig will play up front,

He can do what John Lewis does,

He is big and strong a better header of the ball,

AND

He could  miss the goal from 2 yards if he really tried . ;D

Could get a bit sticky this!  I think we should preserve him, mind you he is decent at Spreading the ball about. ;D

He'd relish a move up front.

But we need to conserve his energy.
