Leave early - the M62 near Leeds around rush hour is horrendous.

Even with no traffic you'd be cutting it fine leaving then. Probably want to be leaving at 5 at the very latest.

Don't leave it any later, it must be pushing 100 miles, and at that time of day it will be two hours minimum with no hold ups.

Still not a lot of margin for error.

I'd be careful, loads of variable speed cameras, usually (very) active around rush hour  ;)

So you drive 50mph on a clear motorway?

No I don't but it won't be a clear motorway and, setting off from home at that time, you will struggle to average anything over 50 mph anyway over that distance.

M62 at Teatime ?. Between Leeds and Manchester ?,  Clear motorway ?, yeh right, try it. And then you've got about 10 miles on the A58 when you get off the M62.

Anyone know any good parking places?, went last season and arrived a tad late, had to park illegally!

No hold ups means not moving, heavy traffic is the norm anywhere now at that time of day isn't it ?

There's about 20 parking spaces next to the away fans entrance but you need to be there about an hour before kickoff to get a space. or drive down shaw hill past the VW Garage and opposite the IMO car wash  theres a narrow side road, you can park down there but again you need to be early.
