Anyone else think it seems a bit weird him randomly tweeting this after not tweeting for a good while, after we have specified we are after a loan?

Something going on here or am i just hoping?

Isn't he a free agent? I think I'd take him.

Currently a free agent, reckon he would suit us playing it down on the floor.

TBH, if Pittman and LJL are going to be missing on Tuesday, I'd take him.

Presumably all the weirdos on twitter who love to tweet at our current and former players (FYI lads - you're not actually mates with them) have started messaging him asking if he's going to be signing for us.

Just had a look and couldn't find anyone actually asking about him returning before he tweeted that.

Think we saw flashes of what he was capable of. Was never really given a proper run in the team. Definitely capable of scoring a goal.

If PH really thinks we need a presence up front, a bloke that can hold the ball up and bring others into play then we should sign the Tonk. I'll tell you what, he has things in his locker that LJL will never have, that being a real turn of pace, acceleration, and crucially he can turn with the ball at pace and he knows where the net is. He scored a goal at home last season, can't remember the score or who we played but he turned a defender and proper smashed it in the net. LJL would never do that, he isn't capable.

But question marks are over his attitude, his 90 minute workrate? And how fit is he now?  Is he better than LJL as I think if we were to sign him, we would be talking a direct replacement? Unless others disagree? LJL is the absolute first name on PH's teamsheet in my opinion, in my opinion it will also cost him his job.

Don't get me wrong, I like Lenny, but I liked Serge Makofo too................

If he signs him then the fat lady might just be getting on the stage for that last song.

Maybe people should be asking why he's without a club.

Most sensible sentence in the thread....

If he's without a club then he's either not fit or asking for too much money.

So if thats right you put yourself in the shop ( no pun intended ) window , scores a few goals , and getba league club to sign you .

At the desperation stage now with players and management , seems the whole season is collapsing around our heads .

Not a long term solution but we have 2 days to find a striker and he is available and knows the club and players. He may be the only option we have at such short notice and if so, i hope he has kept himself fit.

Lenny may be ok for Tuesday, in which case we will have two (albeit under-performing) strikers available. Our failure to sign a 4th or 5th striker is now coming back to haunt us.

To think that someone on this board recently suggested that we don't need any more strikers.

Do we know if there's any chance Nathan Arnold could be fit?

As far as I can remember only one striker has ever had a run in the team since Hursts been here and now he's  injured .

I want Boyce back, not a striker I know but while he was here our defence was a rock, what's the chances of him coming back soon?

Pearson has been very consistent since he's been here Toto just needs a few more games but from what ive seen of him looks a good cb.  Id much rather us sign 2 strikers and CM.

too many fans saying the same thing for it to be bullshit imo.

the thing is if he wants out let him go, I cant stand the thought of someone here who doesn't want to be here.

saying that paul might have asked him to slot in at centre back  ;)

Or maybe a lot of our fans are gullible and believe bullshit rumours to often.
