#GTFC starting XI v Torquay United: McKeown; Bignot, Nsiala, Pearson, Magnay; Brown, Disley, McLaughlin, Neilson; Pittman, John-Lewis

Disley again? Hope Hurst doesn't play the same dire formation as first half against Lincoln and Disley is hopefully just a straight swop for Clay.

Anyone know what bbc live event on Tunein app today is?

Just looking at the other fixtures today, why do I expect the other teams near the top to win comfortably against struggling sides but never feel the same with Town. :(

Struggling to string passes together at the moment, the pressing game has disappeared and the midfield sounds almost non-existent!

Agreed, just what happens at this club for a new and particularly well rated player like Brown to just become shite at taking corners?
They sound rather ordinary but organised, which is just about enough to see you get 3 points at BP.

Pittman's injury doesn't look good, he's currently sat on the floor with an ice pack wrapped around his knee. Hope it's not as bad as it looks as he deserves a bit of luck for once.

We don't sound prepared for this, fair enough Pittman's had to go off, but we haven't strung a dozen passes together yet.

Keep the bloody ball and pass it, when we don't have it press!

It's not just Disley, though he looked laboured at Lincoln, but the whole setup. No urgency, no excitement if we get a corner because they're awful, nothing.
Apart from sloppy, poor football that invites the opposition on, it's BORING.

halt time 0 - 2.

Poor first half overall by Town.  Sounds as though they started ok but when PITTMAN had to go off injured after 11 minutes, Torquay then have done enough to earn the lead.

We sound defunct of ideas in midfield, starving NEILSON and the forwards of any real chances to get back in the game.  The defence, with the exception of Carl MAGNAY, sound un-decisive and very shaky.

Come on Town, the results are going in our favour lets concentrate on winning at home and let the opposition worry about stopping us and not vice versa.  Torquay are having some decent results but what has happened to the pressing game and using our own width.

Second half, let's get back into the game and show some pride.

I wouldn't say we started 'ok', we should be out of the blocks and attacking these teams at home, instead we fumble around finding our pace at out leisure....Hurst CANNOT get a team to play quick, urgent football and close teams down. The usual reactionary action, waiting until the game has gone until big changes are made*.

*Probably with 5 minutes left on the clock.

The in your face tactic we played to such success has just gone out of the window and  the hoof down the pitch has returned. This has happened with the return of this formation with Disley in the team. Not having a go at the player. Just questioning the tactics.  :(

We need Diz off for Clay. The reason Brown not playing so well is Diz takes up his space in midfield so you need Clay on to do the ugly stuff so Brown can do his thing. Started with a little more fight 2nd half but still crap. Hurst out

Don't know what to say really - disappointed with the result is an under statement as I want us to win every game!

For me, personally, we seem to have lost the pressing game and as a result our momentum has gone.  Injuries aren't helping but feel that Clay should have started the game as he gives Brown a bit of freedom to play his game also feel that Neilson is better on the left than the right.

Defence at the moment seems shaky, don't seem as solid since Boyce was recalled by the Scunts.

Midfield in the first half sounded non existent for the majority of the time, admittedly this only is an opinion from listening to the commentary.  After the subs in the second half it sounded better and more balanced.

Forwards - 2 off injured today worries me and makes me wonder if a system can be found to suit Hannah, I don't think him up-front alone is viable.  A loan signing or will Arnold be available?

6 Points off the play offs but only 6 points from the bottom 4, let's not think about top of the table at the moment.  The season is not over for us but we need to beating teams around us at Blundell Park to keep in touch with the play off pack.

Keep the faith!

That was garbage. Players and manager both awful. Only player to come out of that with any credit was Magnay.
Posted by: easypeersy, September 13, 2014, 6:12pm; Reply: 81
Those of you slagging Jonny and Denny a couple of weeks ago...off you need to get a grip.
Two freak results do not make a season.
We are a Very poor football team packed with VERY good players.
The whole of the responsibility lies with the Manager.
Get rid of him and get someone with some idea of how to dominate, attack and match sides such as Torquay.
Get rid of him now to give us a chance to get back in the promotion hunt.
Why was he kept after two seasons of shocking football and failure anyway.
Hurst out NOW!!!!
That performance today was AWFUL!!!
Posted by: easypeersy, September 13, 2014, 6:16pm; Reply: 82
Some guy sat next to me said "well Torquay are a good team"
If that kind of mentality is in our players well we will win nothing.
I am sick of admiring other teams.
We need to be the best team in the division!!!
