I flipping cant wait for tonight and for some reason I am looking forward to the match more tonight than I did when it was played over xmas.

maybe the fact that I know we have scotty brown in midfield were we know he wont let them have anything without earning it or it could be we have toto ,who if he plays like he has been will just dominate there forwards.

I want us to sing like intercourse tonight and show them when we come to Lincoln we get right behind the lads and show we are the real deal this year!

3 points tonight and in a convincing manner will do nicely, see you fellow mariners there.

I just think IF we play like we have been we will be comfortable winners I really do.

they will be the usual dirty illegitimates that they are and once we settle in and play our way by passing the ball like we know we can we will be too strong for them.

Looking forward to this one as well. Despite a shaky start the recent results and the way we have been playing gives me optimism for the rest of the season

Yes your right    just checked out the stats on football 365 last 7 games average   Lincoln  goals for 1.57  goals against 1.85   whereas ours is goals for average 2.42 goals against 0.57.Bodes well for tonight though given its a derby these stats could fly out of the window as players raise their game

Football being football, there will be surprises.  We will concede a bad defensive goal, then sharpen up and get our game together.  We will then come from behind and beat them convincing, showing them our true potential for this season.  And their limitations (again).  ;D

One thing both sets of fans can agree on, let's hope it's not the ref stealing the show with outrageous decisions at key moments.
Just want a good old fashioned well contested game with a great atmosphere, and Town to show it means something to them too.

If they go in our favour then I'm all for crap decisions  ;)

JT has tweeted that tonight's ref is Darren England, who reffed our games at Halifax and Macclesfield last season. Other than the stone-wall pen he didn't give at Macc I can't think of any other controversies involving him and us?

Well, that's as good as guaranteed that he'll have a shocker against us tonight!   ;)

He gave Jennings a yellow for diving when it was a stone wall pen, then gave Macc a debatable one in injury time?

That's it. 3 minutes added time, and they got the pen in about the 5th minute of added time I think ? And Jennings booked for simulation while their player Winn admitted later he'd tripped Jennings.

Interesting extra ingredient to thrown into the mix!

All this build up is difficult to take knowing I won't be there tonight. If all 2,000 voices don't come through on Humberside then I'll not be happy. As the Blundell Park PA usually bellows before kick-off: "Let's make some noise for the boys!"
Posted by: Hagrid, September 9, 2014, 2:56pm; Reply: 21
that ref was shite against macc! hope he doesnt influance tonight! just stuck 5 on town to win 3-1! returns 102, come on the boys!

If there's a ref who's had a Town game before and not made at least one bad decision I'll be shocked.

I cannot be there tonight, neither will I be able to keep up with the game via radio or internet. I will not be able to find out what happened until after 10.00pm tonight. This is difficult to cope with so I am asking all those going to really support the team to make every effort to win the game. You can make a lot of difference as seen in previous seasons. So when I log on after 10pm I hope the outcome makes my night. Remember, I am relying on you so don't anyone let me down. Enjoy.

"Grimsby aren't that great you know. Take away those two big wins and they've flattered to deceive this season. A draw at home to Dover (which should have been a defeat), a defeat at Aldershot, another draw at home to Nuneaton. They're only 3 points ahead of us, despite our troubles with red cards. Posting the prediction thread straight after a defeat is always a good way to gather as many knee-jerk reaction predictions as possible, but I think it'll be a close game. 1-1."

Found this on their forum, obviously doesn't take into account the dodgy, game changing red card against Aldershot or the fact we had nearly a whole starting 11 out for the first three games. I really hope we stuff them to prove we're the real deal this year  8).

They've had a player sent off in 3 of their last 4 games! Sounds like they're still dirty illegitimates!!

He deals with knee-jerk reactions from Lincoln fans with knee-jerk reactions to our early games. And talks as if he was present at every Town game with the in-depth analysis, particularly the home defeat draw with Dover.

And we're 2 points ahead, not 3. Good factual post otherwise  ::)

despite our troubles with red cards is an amusing way of not facing up to facts too.

Cannot wait! Can't make the game as working away but will get commentary on. There's nothing wrong with smashing a few beers in the house in a school night,  even just to get in the mood to listen to radio is there? "Cracks one open".

Like oldun I can't get tonight, and don't have a radio either. Will be relying on flashscores and of course the usual match thread on the fishy to keep me going. Have beet to sincil bank many times, always had a tingle going there, a right buzz. Wish I was there as it is fantastic if we win, but let's face it bloody horrible if we lose. Keep it positive town, attack them with pace and it SHOULD be enough.  UTM

Or just type listen love bbc radio humbersode in google and you'll get radio online. If tha fails I'm happy to lend you my mariners player password to listen. Enjoy the game mate if you can.
