I heard a rumour that Macca is unhappy that a goal keeper coach hasn't been replaced.

So I tweeted about that it would be nice to see one brought in and was favourited by Macca pretty much straight away and with a reply that he soon deleted...

He obviously wants help in training and a one to one coach so why hasn't this been made a priority after Crichton left the club (after 2 weeks!!)

Hope this gets sorted soon as I'm sure League clubs will be sniffing with offers that he couldn't refuse...

Can see why he'd be unhappy.

he is one of the most important players in the team and in my opinion we need someone in for him.

I personally believe he is playing better without a coach!

He is unhappy about it, but understands the circumstances. Wants a bit more support on match days though. Get Batchy down it's the only way forward.

Hasn't anyone got some videos of George Tweedy they could lend him?

Steve Sherwood used to front goalkeeping courses for kids around town (I went to one  8)) -he'll be nicely retired by now I'm guessing but anybody like that could help go through the goalkeeper drills nice and cheap surely?

Well worth keeping Macca onside I reckon

I think it's on cini film with a piano soundtrack.
Also features Harold Lloyd in the episode "a day out in London"

Who is the reserve keeper now? A youth keeper? I don't think he's a pro.

A bit of reality needed on this i reckon, we are a conference league club
with 1  senior goalkeeper on our books, to have a full time GK coach on a
one to one basis isn't really viable, the most Macca should expect is a couple
of days per week and i'm sure he would be happy with that, however,  i do think
the club should pull their finger out and get him just that, its dragged on for
far too long now IMHO.

Agree re the expectation of a full time keeper coach.

My understanding is that he is training with Hull a couple of days a week and has been doing so for a few weeks so , if what i am told is correct, this is a non story

OK Chris, wasn't  aware of that, just responding to the thread re Macca's
alleged unhappiness with the situation, if the club have made this arrangement
i am happy to withdraw any criticism of the club and i then agree this is a non story.

Sorry Pete, i didnt mean for my comments to come over as a criticism of your post. I was told a few weeks ago that this was the arrangement and have reason to doubt the validity.

Not sure but think the youth keeper is Callum Bastock, son of Paul Bastock the ex Boston United keeper.

Chris, does Bastock get some coaching at Hull too?

Not good enough in my eyes. Yes we maybe a conference club but when have we ever been left with no goalie coach? Only when Crichton turned his back on us...
Macca obviously isn't happy and want a one2one coach. He even probably had a GK coach at Boston.
He needs to improve his game all the time and with plenty of League clubs within an hours drive that could be sniffing I'm sure it won't be long til we lose one of our prize assets.
