We could do a site worse than him, that would be excellent.

likely IMO.  Saying that though could we compete with a southern based team?  I doubt it to be fair.

Eastleigh so a brizzle rovers fan at work reckons. As rovers were looking at him as well

good if we can get him, but find it more likely he would go to a southern team or cambridge if they want him

Could Ryan Bird be a deadline day swoop for Grimsby Town?

RYAN Bird has today left Portsmouth by mutual consent - potentially alerting Grimsby Town boss Paul Hurst.

The striker, who was linked with the Mariners before going on loan to Cambridge last season, has taken the decision in a bid to secure regular football.

Hurst has gone on record as stating that he is in the market for a new striker, but could Bird fit the 'bill'?

Now a free agent, any possible 'swoop' for the frontman could be completed after tonight's 11pm deadline.

TBF if Getyourfactsright manages to come to Blundell Park, there's a reach around in it for him. That'll make the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.

Surely someone's going out on loan at some point?

Looks like two of their current strikers are on loan.

Just spent a good half hour reading in depth on Nathan Arnold's postions he's played on match reports, he's played on either (mainly right) wing, as an attacking midfielder behind the front two strikers, also as a striker.

Also mentions his favored positions are behind the two strikers (Attacking mid centre), and as a striker.

Sounds like the Conference Premiers answer to Mesut Özil lol.
