I hate to admit it, but I think we're gonna get dicked tonight. They are flying and they're super confident.

Buckley's clearly not a Tounkara fan. I don't remember him getting so angry when John-Lewis misses similar simple chances?

Sounds a very very very very very uninspiring game

It does sound quiet but when Town are attacking the noise level increases quite a bit.

BBC have it wrong, our only booking is Aswad Thomas so far

Halifax have 3 booked, Town have 1 - Thomas.

If we could deliver a decent set piece FFS we'd be winning, but a lot of fouling going on - especially from them.

Halifax don't sound much like the unstoppable team a lot of people were making them out to be.

Can see a red for them in 2nd half

Come On Town get a goal
Posted by: cmackenzie4, April 15, 2014, 8:35pm; Reply: 24
Sounds about even, We just need that break and i think we will score, 1 goal should win this!
Posted by: Marinerdan, April 15, 2014, 8:38pm; Reply: 25
I'd be shocked if they don't get a red.

Loads of late tackles and niggly fouls.

Halifax are very direct and physical, they're basically a more effective Lincoln.

We're playing the better football and tonk should have scored. Not creating enough chances though.
Posted by: chaos33, April 15, 2014, 8:39pm; Reply: 26
You wouldn't put it past Thomas or Kerr to pick up a second yellow though would you, and Kerr's delivery sounds gash. A case for bringing on Paddy or Thanoj?
Posted by: Cumbrian Mariner, April 15, 2014, 8:45pm; Reply: 27
Sounds about even although they do sound a physical side which they are using to try and rough Town up a bit.

A good tempo start for the second half would suit Town, come on lads big effort and get 3 points tonight!

I think I would bring on Thanoj and McLaughlin  for Kerr and Thomas now to:

1 Make sure we are still in this game to the end

2 Have all players likely available for the next games

Also, hoping that Shaun Pearson (according to the BBC ) keeps clear of further damaging infringements

Right, well now we'll see our credentials. If we've got what it takes we'll repond and force our way back into this. If not, we'll crumble away feebly.

Let's see.....

Psychologically, Halifax have scored because there are too many Grimsby players on yellow cards out there, who can't commit.

Come on, respond, respond.....

Too much hopeful channel ball launching and hoping for the best.

Hurst needs to not leave it too long to make a change. If this goes 0-2, it's game over.

Maybe some regret over no inclusion of Jennings or Rodman.

Kerr has become totally infuriating. He's a good player, but since that purple patch in the winter he's been really disappointing.
Wasting good positions, giving the ball away, poor delivery from set-pieces. He was a great source of supply, but that seems to have dried up.

All those who insist that we are 'good enough' may need to reflect on things again after this. No response whatsoever from the team and totally predictable. It doesn't bode well for the play-offs.

It's interesting that we only had one striker on the bench for this home game, whereas in some away games we've had 3 strikers on the bench. We've played for a draw and may not achieve that. I hope we do.

This part time thing means very little from what brad tells me.  He says the only difference is they train less but the matches they play keeps them fit its only preseason were fulltime benefits clubs.  So why has things changed so much since PH got manager of the month.  I just dont know is it the pressure from the fans I just dont know.  Can we win the playoffs you just dont know but if we do it wont be a season I'll remember very well but the only good thing would be that we've finally got out this shitty league.

The good news is that Braintree and Gateshead have drawn, leaving Braintree 4 points behind us with 3 games left (I think).

Paul will be in the play offs in my view, if he can find an attacking, adventurous team to destroy  Hyde.

I'm not sure where this play off team is coming from though. Hopefully, there is a massive surprise coming.

I'm not holding much hope for Town to be playing league football next season, I can see us making the playoffs still but we can't compete with the top sides at the moment.

Lack of goals is the main worry, We could end up playing Halifax in the playoffs too.

I think we'll still make it to the play offs, but where is the evidence that we have anything like what it takes to win 3 play-off games against good teams? I'll tell you - it aint f***ing there because we're just not good enough and we've all seen it with our own eyes time after time after time. We're only going to get a certain amount of luck. The writing has been on the wall for a long while. Only some have seen it, but still, there it is.

Very, very disappointing, all too predictable and massively frustrating, to say nothing of the latest BP embarassment of being turned over by a part time club who have assembled a much more effective team than ours with substantially less resource.
