A must-win game today against play-off contenders, with all the teams above us playing 'routine' home games they would expect to win. Expecting an unchanged team, a larger than average crowd and I'll be glued to the commentary on Radio Hull on t'internet.

Regarding the unchanged team - just watched PH on MW & he said he was undecided if to freshen things up or not. Said he wasn't going to decide until Saturday morning though. Personally, I think we should roll with the same team until form/injuries says otherwise. Rest half the team next week in the FAT if need be.

4th game in two weeks- professional sportsmen should be able to handle that without the need to be rested. As you say, start with Hedge, Walker, Bignot, Doig, Thomas, Rodman, Thanoj, Jones, McLaughlin, Cook and Hearn next week when it's less important. Most teams in this division would kill for that to be their starting XI!!

Yeah 4 games but 2 of them was massive local derbys! The other one was on a difficult pitch against a very physical Tamworth side. Can't remember the other!

As you say though we have a very talented back up of 7 or so players. I'd stick with the previous games line up. Its not broke so why fix it?

The 'other one' is today's game!  :P

They have a 9/10 day rest after the game if they don't play next week so I expect they'll all be determined to be selected for the game today. We have the options to bring on quality replacements if the last 2 weeks has been too much for some of them, bless!

BarnetFC: Stack; Yiadom, Stephens, Saville, Johnson; Weston, Davids, Abdulla; Villa, Cadogan; Sykes

BarnetFC subs - Gambin, Jupp, Byrne, Nurse, Fletcher.

Davids starts at BP! The rest of 'em are sh*te! ;) Get in to 'em Town!

Barnet better for the first half hour, Town improved up to half time. Town start brightly for the first 5 minutes of the second half, Barnet sound like they're now starting to get on top a little without creating anything.
Posted by: gobby, November 23, 2013, 4:15pm; Reply: 24
Holding their own at the moment Chris, Barnet had the first 20 minutes by the sound of it but Town sound on top. According to JT Town should have had a peno in first half. And AB keeps creaming his pants over Davids! 8)

We sound alright, Thomas getting forward well, i'd like to see Neilson and/or Colbeck introduced at some stage.  A point here's not a terrible result but Barnet have hardly threatened so would like to see us push on for a goal.

Barnet played very well upto the 18 yd box where they didnt have a threat at all, most of their players happy with the ball, the right back was pretty impressive, but for all their possession they never really looked like scoring to me and the goal they did get was a cracking solo strike from distance.
We were more effective with our possession and could easily have had 4/5, Hannah, LJL, Paddy, Rodman all blazing wide from good positions and two half shouts for a penalty.
