I think we can safely say now that this seasons Champions will come from the current Top 5. A case can be made for each side but who do you think will finallt come out on top when the final whistle blows on the 20th April.

Wrexham have 9 left, they still have to play Mansfield twice and also a home game against Kidderminster but all their other games looking winnable.

Mansfield have 10 games left and have tricky trip to Forest Green on Friday night as well as still having to play Wrexham twice.

Kidderminster also have 9 to play and still have to visit both Newport and Wrexham

Newport face Kiddy at home and then after that have 3 away games in 6 days and obviously come to BP on the final day of the season.

As for us, we now have a run of game which we should be capable of winning and of course the big last day game at home to Newport.

It could all come down to that final day.

Mansfield v Wrexham
Grimsby v Newport
Kidderminster v Stockport.

Obviously it's going to be a big ask for us to win it now but I haven't written our chances off just yet but I think that Mansfield will now go on to win the league unfortunately.

We're just going to do what we did in 1998 and win at Wembley twice.

Is it too early to say forest green won't make the play offs? They could possibly win all their games to give them a total of 85 points.

Bloody hope so Pete, But you have to admit it is a long shot, Mathematically it can still be done, Just hope the last 2 losses and with key players missing we haven't left to much of a mountain to climb.

We have had our little bad spell Chris,Mansfield will have a big bump very soon,

That leaves only Wrexham and Newport and they will not win as many points as us between now and the end of the season,

So that leaves us top with Kiddiminster 2nd. ;D

I think Mansfield will or Kiddy will win.

If Grimsby win the FA trophy then I can see us winning all remaining games due to high spirtts. it may work the other way aswell if we loose because they should want to try and set the record straight.

Grimsby for me as is it still mathematically possible.

I don't normally take part in the prediction threads, but here's a few of my thoughts:

I think Kidderminster are the 'best' team in the league and could win it although their 'games played' may be their undoing. I think Mansfield or Wrexham might pounce and 'do them' on this basis. If they don't, Grimsby or Newport! It's wide open!  ;)

I think we will beat Cambridge convincingly. I think we will then win at Nuneaton.

I think the current top 5 will be the finishing top 5.

Forest Green won't make it into the play-offs.

while we are still in it i hope and pray its the mariners that come out top.
if that is not achieved then i think i would like wrexham to win the league. my reasons for this are that if it wasn't for moneybags fleetwood last season they would have won the league outright then, their squad has basically remained together and they are top again on merit, so i feel as a true football supporter their club players and supporters deserve it as it would have been hard earned,.
but UTM and lets keep the pressure on and see what happens.
