For all those out  there that think we can not be champions , look at this ,

Wrexham and Mansfield have to play each other twice,

If one team wins both games the other drops 6 points,

If they both win one game, both teams drop  3 points,

If one game is won and the other drawn, one team  drops 5 points and the other 2 points,

We have games in hand, so do not give up just yet.

pete as always you tell it as it is, there are too many doom and gloom merchants on here. here are opportunities for us to catch points up on our rivals, we just need to grasp it with both hands, and with a huge slice of luck somewhere and some inner belief and confidence we can still make this very very interesting. yes play offs seem the more likely but........................who knows till the end of the season, all we can do is try and let the team and managers know we are with them 100%

We still have to sort out our present form - several players have not re-reached early season form, and Hannah isn't receiving the same through ball service that Neilsen provided for him up front.

Teams that can trap the ball and pass accurately are looking better than us, and they pack the midfield to nullify the wing play.

Somehow, we need a Plan B to get round opponents' tactics. Opponents are taking one for the team to block our players - last night, down to 10 men when the first goal was scored, another game when we then have to chase the game.

We need to consolidate the play off place for now and get back to the confident play of previous months - is Wembley on players' minds?

If one team wins both games the other drops 6 points, they'll probably end up as champions  :-/

Well even if they do win both, are they not gonna drop points elsewhere ?

We've seen it happen all season to teams in this league - the old "anyone can beat anybody on their day".
It's even happened to teams on great runs, most recently Kiddy.

For example, how long before silky footballing world beaters Mansfield run out of steam ?
You wouldn't be suprised if they crack under pressure from the chasing pack.

All about hitting form at the right time and that time is now IF we win Saturday and go unbeaten til the end of the Season like the run we WERE on only a couple of weeks ago we can still finish top and lets see how Mansfield fair if/when they hit the top Gy/Wrexham coped pretty well being top and everyone chasing lets see how they handle it?Exciting times and anyone of 5 teams can win this League who wants it the most?

We do !  ;)

Been thinking about this desire thing actually.
I hope the players (and fans) manage to keep composure, calm heads and won't panic or "over-try" under pressure.
It's very easy to want the team to go hell for leather to score in the first minute.
But sometimes you've got to show some degree of patience over 90 mins too.

Personally I'd prefer to hear a party good feel atmosphere than one which amounts to any degree of desperation.
Perhaps the last thing we might want is an overly frustrated or despondent crowd, we need one full of encouragement.

Got to love the tongue in cheek comment 80s, sadly some people in Tuesday actually thought mansfields tactics of kicking it really far and chasing after it or playing for a boring long throw was silky football...

other teams are also playing each other and we play Newport at home also to nick 3 points off. Its more then possible we have to just get winning again ourselves and not worry about other teams. If we can put a run together we can still win the league.

I know it sounds a bit strange but the way we played on Tuesday has given me MORE belief that we can do it rather than less. The other recent performances had me worried that we had lost that extra bit of class that you need to set yourself apart from the pack. As pointed out by everyone on this thread there are plenty of 6 pointers left this season.

Plenty of points to be won and lost before the league is over: keep the faith and you might just be surprised after the Newport game on 20th April.
