Nope, just checked on Wiki and he was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

He was born in Great Yarmouth.

I've never really understood why his name keeps cropping up really. He was born in Great Yarmouth and began his career at Norwich.

Maybe he grew up here but he's certainly not from Grimsby.

Taylors dad did write in the telegraph MDT , reporting on scunny's games.

Not sure mate but if he was then maybe he came to GY when he was very young because he was only about 8-9 when we played at Yarborough before I left for Wintrinham, where he followed on two years later

Interestingly on Genes Reunited there is a Paul Emson born in the same year as him in Grimsby...maybe a doppelganger  ;)

You could be right mate i got it from the site below, but they sometimes register the county rather than the town of birth.

I thought Brian Klug as he played in the same team as me at Nunsthorpe Junior School, but born in Coventry apparently. Must have moved to GY very young
