Back in training apparently, anyone else think he could be a useful player over Christmas ?with neilson maybe going and colbeck out. Also wonder if soares will get a look in

I think Artus is a useful player but we haven't seen the best of him because he has been used in a position that is not his best ie left wing. He is more  a left-footed version of Disley but because of Dis's form he hasn't been used there. I don't think he will be retained in the summer though which is a shame but thats football.

Yeah just the Wrexham game, but he hasn't really been firing on all cylinders either. Hopefully he can improve.

Correct Pete, and therefore Neilson plays v Wrexham and then Colbeck back for Lincoln and Mansfield

I've heard he will be gone in Jan.

Hasn't he's till got a year left ? Maybe a free transfer who knows he looked promising in pre season and its not quite worked out for him.

I would release on a free transfer Ford, Soares Elding and Artus

Now I don't know if he was injured but if he can't get in the match day squad against H & W then I don't see much future for him here.

Has anyone seen Ford play this time round?  I haven't.

I don't think Artus is particularly good at all and at times, out wide on the left, he's looked pretty poor. If I had a quid for every time he failed to deliver a decent ball from a set piece at crucial moments I'd be going away to the Seychelles at Christmas. He embodies what was wrong with the team last season - characterised by very average, inconsistent players. Unless he comes back in to the team soon and produces some quality I can't see how he has a future use for us.

Watched him in the reserves as well as the first team and he shows he isn't good enough whatever position he's played in. Lightweight, seems lost when he plays, we should release him.

my only hope is that frankie would reproduce the form we saw from him last xmas/new year. he was outstanding imho at both lincoln and alfreton last year after a very poor start to the season

It will be interesting to see how he is now he has had his hernia operation. No doubt has some skills, just needs to show it for 90 mins. I heard that Ford has some sort of back problem, although nothing official has been reported.

I fully agree.

I think Artus did quite well in assisting our slightly shaky defence last season when played out on the left. This season, however, the defence has mostly been good and I've not seen anything that would indicate he can offer enough in an attacking sense when played as a winger.

I'm not a huge Artus fan but i do have a problem with this 'release Artus, Soares, Ford etc'.

There is half a season to go and we need a capable squad as injuries and suspensions wil play a part. Some of the others in the mix may not be able to draft in experienced squad players and this could potentially give us an edge.

We NEED a sizeable squad to keep us competitive. I am not saying the likes of Frankie should be regular starters but he is a good squad player at this level
