Attendance: 1,934 - 331 away.

On our way home as we speak, on the M62.

Town not at the races for the first 44 mins.

Second half only one team in it in my opinion.

Good effort from the 331 Town that made the trip especially on a Friday night with the game on TV.

Onwards and Upwards.

Apparently pitch n wind assisted Southport in their tactics of bombarding our defence first half and pinned us back. Scott said post match conditions played a big part first half, nowhere near our best but still won! Great effort by those travelling fans.

Teams have watched us play and are not going to allow us to play our football at a high tempo n dominate, wins are going to be won the hard way, even teams above us are very very wary and set up their tactics accordingly, making tonight's battle a sweet victory! UTM

I thought it was more like 500. We were spread out over a lot of space, as well. Thought we could have made more noise if we'd been squeezed into a smaller space like we usually are.

A fantastic win last night.

When we got the corners I had a feeling Miller would score, and bang flipping get in there m'lad  :)

Second half was going to be key and as Gary Jones kept stating Southport are part time and would most likely tire.

They sounded very tall and physical. Pearson sounded solid and it is good too hear. His performances seem to be getting better and better, having 4 good centre backs is excellent news.

It is great to see and hear Town fans so positive. The two gaffers have rid us of hangers on that sucked the blood out of our club and now hopefully we can build for the future.

If we can get the Youth team blooding a few players each season then this will go a long way to making our club stable for many years to come

From the TV screen I'd have said 600 odd.

If it was 300 or 600 it is a tremendous effort for a club in the bsp to take that amount of fans to the other side of the coutry on a friday night when it can be easily viewed on tv. Just been travelling back along the m18/m180 and had humberside on, scuntsthorpe in london at Leyton, with all the possible exilies down there and the lure of playing in the capital they took 440 not bad for a village team what would we of took there thou, at least 800.

I think the 331 was terrace only - the seats were unsegregated and I'd say 100 plus in there from Gy
