Didn't the Double Deckers follow the Banana Bunch? Now there was a theme tune "One banana, two banana, three banana, four. Four bananas make a bunch and so do many more.......la, la, la, la, la, la, la"
That was The Banana SPLITS Jock in the first link.

The way Fraggle Rock worked was that most of it was filmed in Canada using Jim Henson's Muppets. It would then be sold around the world with buyers being allowed to insert their own 'local' characters at the beginning and the end of each episode, known as a 'wraparound'. In the UK the scenario was a lighthouse manned by a character played by Fulton Mackay, who played the prison officer in Porridge.
Sadly all the UK 'wraparounds' have been wiped.

Fraggle Rock was mega...and the alternative version of the theme song sang by many a kid in my school was funny too, especially at the age of 8/9/10...
The saved by the bell theme tune is class as is Fresh Prince, also two mega shows...
More up to date, The Big Bang Theory theme tune is great too, performed by the Barenaked ladies...

What about the following theme tunes to kid's programmes?
The Monkees; Black Beauty; Doctor Who - the original of course, and the VERY best.

Not just a great theme tune but a classic piece of music full stop. It is called 'Galloping Home'.

That would be Gary Holton, who fronted the Heavy Metal Kids,a band i saw at the Winter Gardens way back in the mists of time.
Died of a drink and drugs overdose fairly young.

He died during the filming of the second series of A. Pet. In some of the episodes they had to dress someone up like him and just film from the back.

For those of us who are still children of the 1980's (albeit late 1980's) this is still fondly remembered. There are re-runs of it on Gold and it has certainly dated in terms of special effects but it is still very funny (or is that the 1988 16-year old me speaking?):

PS The Craig Ferguson mentioned in the titles is the same Craig Ferguson who is now a major star in the US in the Letterman mould.
