Do you have a favourite team that you follow in Scotland ?

I always look for Inverness Caledonian Thistle 's  results for two reasons,

I have been to Inverness and think it is a very nice place plus what a great name for a football team,

Celtic and Rangers fans need not apply. :P

East Fife.  Don't know why but have always looked out for their score.  I've even had the "honour" of walking on the pitch there and sitting on the subs bench.

Same.

And Hegarty did sign for St. Mirren, Marinette. He got quite a bad injury soon after signing though.

And Buckie Thistle are still going FooW, they appear on the Soccer Saturday videprinter in Cup games, alongside teams like Whitehill Welfare and the like.

Really?  Your grasp of Theological differences/Geography is as intelligent as Celtic fans abusing troops/Rangers fans singing the sash.  Working class Glaswegian men knifing each other in the name of religion/sport. . . .

This was before the hale and hearty Kevin Drinkell managed them.

Well, if you were to have a religious slant on it Hearts would be Church of Scotland rather than Church of England. Both are quite dissimilar in that the former is Calvinist and the latter is Anglician.

However the religious bigotry that exists in Glaswegian football does not feature so strongly in their east coast cousins although it has been known for IRA publications to be sold outside Easter Road on matchdays many years ago. But then you could say the same thing for Goodison Park and Old Trafford.

I did change to Forfar Athletic later when that results announcer said

"East Fife four ... Forfar five."

The ONLY team in Scottish non league football....Auchinleck Talbot. This weekend we're away at Irvine Meadow in the quarter final of the Scottish Junior Cup. Irvine Meadow have been the Crawley Town of the Scottish non league scene for a number of years now, and Auchinleck are the undisputed Junior Cup kings having won the competition a record 8 times, including 2006 and 2009. There will be a crowd of over 3,000 at the game on Saturday, and with it being only 30 miles from Auchinleck we'll have well into four figures of a travelling support - believe it or not from a village that has a population of less than 5,000, although we do pull them in from the surrounding villages as well.
Unless Dundee are at home this Saturday it could be the biggest crowd outside of the SPL. If Hmailton are at home there could be a bigger crowd tha a Premiership game.

Scottish football isn't that bad actually. I've watched a lot this season and, although it's not Premiership level, all the teams try to play in the right way in the areas that count. I think it is safe to say the big 'oof was invented in England (probably Lincoln). You never get any fans on the Hibs message board, for example, saying we need to play direct football because that's what gets results - and they've had a bad run this season.

I haven't heard any IRA chants at Easter Road this season - I have heard "we're not sectarian" though.
