The players might have had their heads thinking about the league rather than the cup.

Which is not a bad thing imo,

I feel confident that the lads will be back in top gear on Tuesday,

Town 3  Halifax  1

John Lewis , Pittman, Pearson

ATT 3 104   108 from Halifax

Well, I reckon Halifax might bring a few more than that. 300/400 maybe?

Halifax will have 24 hours less rest than us as they play tomorrow. We'll have Pell back. Hopefully they'll get a draw or win so they'll be transfixed by Cup Fever.

2-0 Town,

Difficult to call. It depends where the players heads are but I see it as a crucial game. A win would be perfect but I would be reasonably happy with a point. We really could do without losing momentum at this stage. I'll go with a 2-1 win, LJL & Pearson.

I hope they do but they have a big match today and it is a work day,

Anything over 200 would be good.

They don't get many at home but they travel well and this is a big game. I can see them bringing 450 or so, even on a Tuesday night. Prediction wise, I worry about our ability to score against the better sides in the division, 1-1 draw.

They bought 400+ last year although it was a bigger game and they didn't have one of there biggest rivals in the fa cup 2 days before. I reckon 200-250

Depends how we play, looking at todays cup game if we play hoof ball we wont get near their goal. It will need quick low forward passing to get behind their centre halves who are not very quick. 2-1 to us if we play with wingers and get it on the ground. LJL and Pell

Agree with Madely about the lack of pace in their back four. They couldn't get near Nielson at their place and are probably frightened to death of him. He must play for me in a free role behind LJL.

At the other end they are very direct with lots of crosses and love to pump the ball into the box. We will need all the height we can muster to handle that but also need pace and guile at the other end

Agree about Nielson behind front 2. Hope we set up like this. Wouldn't like to call the result. See who's fit on Monday and Tuesday.

If the Halifax manager was at the game I don't think he would have picked up much . If Magney is back , Pell might be in Nielson must play and another change of formation . Sure it's going to confuse them as much as it confuses us .

Don't ever guess the score , I like the tension .

Me neither. I don't bother guessing the score. Since when have Town been predictable?!

Agree about Nielson behind front 2.

Try reading what he actually said ?
I assume "free role behind LJL" means a front 1.

Halifax put a lot of effort into their game against Bradford,

They also have 24 hours less to recover than us,

So I am hoping they might be off the boil on Tuesday night,

If we can keep it nice and tight we should be able to take advantage in the 2nd half,

We have only played Torquay at home that are near the top of the league,

So we have got to start beating these top teams at home if we want to go up,
