So really what we are saying is the despite our recent excellent form we have actually only gain 1 point on Barnet.  Just shows the task in hand to catch and overtake them really.

maybe, but look what has happened to Torquay in the last few games; things change quickly in this division! ;-)

But to be positive we've made up 2 points in the last 4 games :)

Indeed.I notice Halifax aren't in sparkling form either - big game next Tuesday. I think it's looking like there might well be a dozen teams fighting it out for the top 5, making it very competitive indeed, and as has just been pointed out, league position can change quite merkedly in the space of 3 or 4 games.

They've only won 1 in 5

Indeed - 1 win in last 5 league games, but beat Chorley 5-0 away in cup replay. They beat Kiddy at home, but were tw@tted by Eastleigh away 4-1, as well as losing 3-1 at home to Alty.

Last 5 league games: W1, D2 L2.

So what you're pointing out with those stats Ivano is our upturn in form is due to playing clubs who are on bad runs at the moment:

Braintree 24th
Dartford 23rd
Torquay 21st
and Wrexham a nose-bleed inducing 19th!

Gents

Certainly not trying to be negative with my post above.  Just pointing out that it can take a long time to catch up a team who is maintaining good form.

i don't care if we played the bottom 5 one after another, if we won them all i would still be delighted

I guess though it wasnt that long ago that Torquat beat us and were on a good run themselves and were something like 5th when we played them if memory serves.

Hi Rio

be careful when posting on here though, you can get into just as much trouble as on twitter.

Partly due to the fact we've beaten them !
You're placing outcome of wins for us over them into their poor form mixing bowl.
Other teams form (or even runs) is generally thought about before the game, not after it.

On current average points per game we're heading for 77 again.
