Why do we need another striker?

Because we need another one, thats why!

Where would we be if McAtee badly injured his shoulder in the next few games and was unable to play for the next 3 - 6 months?

We cannot rely on him to be injury free all season, especially as he has the ongoing injury anyway.

I reckon other teams will be more than aware of his injury, but I will stop short of saying they will target him.

Way of the jungle, teams like Luton who are higher up the chain grab from the ones below it.  Grimsby Town will do the same much more easier now we are a League club once again.

I guess if the fee was in the open, and Grimsby Town go in for a player, other clubs could try up any fee if they knew how much we receive in any transfers like McAtee.

What does being open about a transfer fee do other then give you a handicap when trying to sign other players give everyone knows what you’ve just taken receipt of…

We stole some good players from clubs below us this transfer window. Doubt we even paid fees. It's a shame McAtee didn't sign a nice long contract to help us get an even better price, but in the grand scheme of things this is the best possible result for everyone.

You have a lot of faith in the honesty and sportsmanship of League 2 defenders.  I will come right out and say that they WILL target him for sure.

Agree completely. If I'm a Lg2. CB the first chance I get I'm going in with a heavy shoulder barge or try and give him a rough landing when going for a header etc etc
