Very hard to call at such an early stage, but you’d have to expect the likes of Bradford and Northampton to be up there based on recent business, and expect Stockport to be a force too. I’d expect Swindon and Mansfield to be up there too.
As for us, with a fair wind we should have a top 5 average gate next season with a vastly, vastly increased budget on last season - a team towards the end I think most felt would hold its own in League Two. On that basis, aiming for 10th and above doesn’t seem unreasonable, does it?
I think we can have a real good crack at the play-offs, I really do.

Alll joking aside I'd like to hope we're around the play offs. I'd say Bradford, Northampton, Stockport, Swindon, Rochdale, Donny will be up and around the top end. Barrow and Stevenage relegated.

Absolutely no chance of that. Mate's a Donny fan and he's not hopeful of a top half finish and fears worse..

I think Donny are on the decline. Likewise don’t see Rochdale pulling up any trees.

I'm going to go with Crawley and Doncaster being relegated.
At the top end:
1 - Stockport 2 - Northampton 3 - Mansfield
Salford, Tranmere, Swindon and us to make up the play-offs.

Didn’t Crawley just sign last season’s League Two top scorer?

Obviously difficult to say at this stage and there's always a few surprise success stories in this division.
Clearly Bradford and Northampton should be challenging based on their business so far.
Mansfield and Swindon will probably be in or around the play-offs again. Stockport will do well; probably play-offs. Orient have recruited well and will challenge for top 7.
Not sure what to make of any of the relegated sides. Crewe were dreadful last year and they could struggle again if they don't strengthen significantly. Doncaster always seem to be competitive when they're in this division but I'm not sure what their signings have been like.
New crypto moneybags Crawley could be ones to watch. They've signed last season's L2 top scorer and I can see them sh!thousing their way into a good finish. Arseholes.
I think people might be underestimating Barrow and Stevenage. Barrow have Pete Wild as manager and I think they'll be solid after some decent signings. Stevenage likewise have a decent manager for this level and have made a couple of good additions so far.
Hartlepool could struggle: they had a mediocre season last year and have lost a few. Harrogate, Carlisle, Colchester and Walsall seem to have been circling the lower parts of L2 for a few years now and I can't see them changing that this season.
As for Town, I think we're in a decent position but we still need to strengthen over the season. We should aim for play-offs but if we fall short and finish top half I'd still be happy with that.

Yes, but I smell a rat with their new owners and have a sneaky suspicion the wheels will fall off.

Yep, makes some interesting reading actually.
Quoted Text
A respected football finance guru has suggested that the takeover of Crawley Town by cryptocurrency investors could be "too good to be true".
Last week saw the League Two side announce that WAGMI United LLC had completed the purchase of the club. The company are to use non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as an ownership model, allowing people across the world to make decisions on the club, while also generating valuable revenue streams. NFTs have no physical form but can be bought or sold.
Upon their ownership being confirmed, co-founders Preston Johnson and Eben Smith vowed to build a "worldwide community of fans" despite the club having little reach outside Sussex and boasting average attendances this season of just 2,249 - the second-lowest in the EFL.
Kieran Maguire, the respected football finance expert behind the popular Price of Football Twitter account and podcast, has big concerns over the deal.
"It's a highly volatile, unregulated and easily manipulated market," Maguire told the Argus. "If you want to buy into it in those circumstances then good luck to you is my view. There is nothing wrong with new people coming in, if they want to engage with fans that is great.
"If engagement means you have to buy fan tokens, I think they said you can vote in the new directors. But if something sounds too good to be true, it generally, in my experience, tends not to be true.

Fancy Stockport to win it closely followed by Northampton and Bradford.. Harrogate and Stevenage to drop out.. Town to finish between 7-11.. and will be amazed if Dom Telford sees his full 3 years at Crawley the deal there with there owners looks full of red flags!

Bradford are big team favourites every season, but fail miserably every season. What makes you think this season will be any different? They are the Man Utd of the second div. Big fanbase, big spenders, but ultimately biggest failures.

“We renounce everything except victory” ... Buenaventura Durruti
This could have been our battle cry in the play-offs last season. If we can carry some of that spirit into 22/23 a play-off place has to be a possibility. And if we get there, we all know anything is possible.

First time we were promoted back into the league, we went for consolidation, concentrate on staying up, let's not overspend. Look were we ended up, back in the National bloody League!
Go for it while we have the momentum, because once we loose that, it is very difficult to get it back.

I’d take anywhere above 20th! Hopeful of 12th or above.
Stockport, Bradford and Northampton are obvious favourites. But you always get a team no one expects to do well, so I’ll plump for Walsall, Gillingham, Tranmere and Newport to join them in the top 7
Relegation wise, as long as town aren’t worrying about it I don’t care but for Sutton, Stevenage, Carlisle and possibly Rochdale I think it could be a long season

We know from last season the only big spender that got promoted was Stockport; so splashing the cash does not guarantee promotion. As for the league positions I'm not too bothered about the rest, only Town.
We have everything going for us this season so it's promotion for me either in the top 3 or via playoffs. As for the rest, I'm not bothered.

A general feeling that Harrogate are going to struggle. Any particular reason?
They've done reasonably well since promotion and appear to be a well run club with realistic ambitions (or have I missed something?)

Thing is, the people involved might well have converted their gains over the last coup,e of years into currency, or assets and thejn sold them. I doubt very much they have bought the club based on the crypto they own. The people who have made millions and billions from crypto over the last few years are traders, and they are trading volatile margins....that's not acceptable from the sellers perspective I am sure. Whoever they are, my guess is they are short term, as most traders are, they are not investors, so I reckon in the end you will be right, but it wont be because the owners are only crypto rich

Thank you for having the courtesy of identifying yourself with a red cross. We all have opinions, so why don't you agree with mine; which is I want the best for Town and all supporters ( including you) which promotion again would bring.
