Anyone heard if the club will be using iFollow again now we are back in the EFL.

Subscription service wasn't it, more money for the club?

I might be wrong on this, but I think in moving away from the wider EFL digital platform (website etc.) we have forfeited our ability to use iFollow as a club. There’s a list of clubs using iFollow here, and all appear to be on the EFL platform.

It also suggests that clubs not on the iFollow service may run their own independent steaming option. I suspect this will be the more likely route for Town now.

This is correct, you have to use their identikit websites which we binned off to use iFollow. I assume the club will put our own offering in place and I wonder how robust it will be against VPN users.

If we did it ourselves perhaps we'd be able to get a multi-camera setup rather than the single camera set-up of iFollow. Wonder if we'd have to do our own in-house commentary or would put Humberside on-top like last time though, and how away games would work.

I reckon they'll go with ifollow again and just create a link between our new website and the iplayer part of the identikit website and hide the rest of it.

I would think that the EFL and Sky would insist that their cameraman has to be on the gantry for the highlights show.

As for away games if the club is not part of the Ifollow system the home club would be very unlikely to allow a GTFC camera to do live streaming from their ground. However I would think that Town fans should be able to still log on to Ifollow via the home club and watch the game.

It’s in the club’s interest for it not to be robust. More paying streamers

To be fair Ifollow was pretty decent when ever I watched it ,my only problem was it wouldn’t let me cast it to my telly
